I have been pressuring DH for years now and I finally broke him. Yesterday we went to a breeder and picked out our puppy (although we are still debating between two of them). Pompey is the one on far left (the girls and I voted for him) [/IMG] Will is the only one with black fur (Neal liked him best) We will get to bring our puppy home in early July. I am already in
Awwwwww! They are absolutely precious! LOL at the little black one's head hanging off the bed, you'd think that would be too uncomfortable for sleeping. And the one just up from him isn't even on the bed. Is that the mamma gnawing on a bone/toy/something else at the top of the image?
Yes, that is the mama. The black one was very outgoing - and very cute. This is a hard decision to make!
Go with your heart! I think the best pets are the ones that "pick us" from their attitude and persona.
Oh my! Either way, you will not go wrong. Choose the one with the best temperament A.DOR.A.BLE. Honestly.
Oh, they are all so sweet! The breeder should know the basic personalities (temperament, disposition, outgoing, etc) of the puppies quite well. Ask what the differences are between the two puppies, and use that to influence your decision. Most breeders (at least here in Canada) grade their puppies (around 6 - 8 weeks old) based on a number of things and that can also help you decide. Here's a Puppy Temperament Test available online, if your breeder doesn't do this - you can do it yourself with the two puppies. A very wise friend once told me, you can love the ugliest dog with the sweetest disposition, but it is very hard to love the most beautiful dog with a horrible temperament.
Adorable Rachel... well maybe you can get both so that Pompey will have Will to play with I know the girls are going to be thrilled
Congrats!! What exciting news...will certainly make for a fun summer! Looooove Cavaliers!! They are such great dogs. My parents have one and she is the sweetest pup!
Awww you have such happy times ahead. Cavaliers are just the loveliest dogs. Wouldn't be without my Poppy - only seems like yesterday when she was a puppy and we brought her home for the first time. She's 2 1/2 now. Good luck with the choosing. Can't wait to see your new addition
They are so cute! Since you just talked your DH into getting a puppy it might be good to let him pick. It will be tough either way.
I love that breed! Anything made for hanging out on my lap = awesome! You guys are going to have so much fun!
