My mom was a traditional homemaker. She did work for about 6-9 months after marrying my dad (RN), but when she was 6 months pregnant with me she quit her job ... night shift nurse covering 3 wards. The hospital hired 3 nurses to replace her. Anyhow, she made us girls a full breakfast every morning ... mine in high school was scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, half a grapefruit and oj, one or both of my younger sister had pancakes and bacon. Mom use to keep Bisquick mixed up in a peanut butter jar in the fridge so she could just shake it up and pour. She also cooked dinner every night. On Sundays we would sometimes go out for lunch after church.
