vacuum?

okay now I am pretty sure I NEED a dyson and I am pretty sure I am going to get one of the "animal" ones because our dog is a shedder.

You will not regret it!! We have two dogs and two cats and my Dyson gets all that hair up!! It's well worth the investment!!

well, i just fixed our hoover... so it can tide me over long enough to watch for a good sale on a dyson (ha)

well on hsn.com you can get a dyson with 3 or 4 payments so it makes it not quite so bad LOL

we just bought a Dyson! OMG! My carpet was "fluffed" like new when I finished!! It makes cobweb patrol fun!

my mom has the purple Dyson - she had a pet pig and the pig hair has killed several vacuums. Once she got the purple D she never had another problem with vacuums!

No vacuum here, nobody has it in this country. Well, I know a person who does, the only one. They are not expensive, it is the culture, use a broom. Some people have vacuum for cars, the really small ones.
Though I still think I need one. Dyson, right? Gonna see if I can find it here.

first let me start off by letting you know that i am a member of TPCFCV (the professional club for chronic vacuumee's). i vacuum my 2800sq ft home once daily and i don't know if it's from my obsession with clean floors or simply out of routine at this point. i have loved and cherished the same dyson for nearly 5 years now and i love him like a child. light weight, easy to empty, affordable, durable, quiet and all mine.

*sigh*

get a dyson. it will make your heart happy.

mine died recently and my mum bought me one for my birthday! lol It's okay. Not great but much better than the old one which I hated. I don't even know what brand it is but it's not a big name brand.

Lizzy I am with you!! I vacuum at least 2 times a day but thats prob cause my vacuum sucks a** and doesn't do a good enough job for my liking.

OMG Katrina and Lizzy...here is your warning...never visit my house or your heads may explode.

I have the latest model Kirby and i LOVE it!!!! I love being able to wash my carpets as well.

:lol Well, not if they've visited my house first, because their heads will already be fully exploded, LOL. Fortunately my giant dog and two cats clash with Lizzy's allergies and I will be meeting her on safe, neutral territory when she's here in May. :giggle

As to the subject at hand, I just went through this a couple weeks ago. We have an old Beam central vac that was probably never installed properly (i.e. properly vented) and was at an age where it really should be replaced. I loathed wrestling that stupid hose around the house only to have it do a crappy job no matter how much I vacuumed. Our house gets so dusty and our bullmastiff sheds like crazy.

After asking many this same question and doing some research, I decided to get a Dyson. I was going to get the DC25 Animal, but just when we were ready to buy, a local Canadian chain decided to clear out some pink DC23 Motorheads that were left over from a breast cancer awareness promotion months earlier. They were $150 off and qualified for the current special offer from Dyson where you get a free Spring Cleaning kit attachments set... and did I mention it's pink?! lol So, yeah, how could I resist?

I hate vacuuming... HATE it... and I heart my Dyson. :beat We're mostly hardwood floors, linoleum and area rugs. I busted my butt vacuuming the wool area rug in our living room just before we left to go pick up the Dyson. Got home, put the new Dyson together and vacuumed it again... filled the canister once... half filled it again... wow! It looked like a whole new rug. And, in case you're wondering, Otis, the dog, went for the ride with us and the cats were outside, so they weren't here adding new fur to it while we were out. ;)

Now, I'm obviously a Dyson virgin and can't speak to its longevity, but I quizzed my pal Lizzy extensively before my purchase, and you've already heard about her vacuuming obsession and the daily workout she's put hers through over the past 5 years. Debra and a few other of my digiscrap peeps also gave me a huge thumbs up on their Dysons that they've had for years, so there ya go. Hope this is some help!

OMG!!!! YOUR DYSON IS PINK!!!!! this is seriously the cutest dyson i have ever seen. you have a girl dyson. *sigh*

OMG Katrina and Lizzy...here is your warning...never visit my house or your heads may explode.

just because i'm a freaky clean person doesn't mean i expect everyone else to be. i am seriously abnormal when it comes to cleaning my house. like VERY VERY off and need therapy clean. :shrug

Joan-I have vacuum envy....seriously I love it. I'm just waiting for mine to die, I want a Dyson so bad...but we just had to get kitchen appliances so I can't just go buy one without needing a good reason (the old one breaking).
