I found Judie's tut on how to install styles, but it didn't work for me because of my version. Anyone know of a tut on installing for PSE5?

 

Lynn for Pse5 you have to put your styles in a specific folder. I used to have PSE5, let me check to see if I can find my instructions.

 

I think PSE5 is the same as PSE8 for installing actions/styles. I had 10, and it was the same as 8. (PSE 11+ was a game changer on how it installs)
This tutorial from Mommyish was how I did it:

 

Ok, try this.

1. YOU NEED TO do the following steps with PSE 5 closed.
   1. UNZIP your style file (s).
   2. Go into the folder you just unzipped and look for the style file that ends with .asl
   3. COPY the .asl file (usually a right click on the mouse will give you a copy option).
   4. FOR PC:
      • Go to: c:\Program Files\Adobe\PhotoshopElements\Presets\Styles
      • COPY .asl file there
   5. FOR MAC:
      • Go to: Applications\Adobe\Presets\Styles
      • COPY .asl file there
      • NOTE: It may be that instead Adobe it could be AdobePSE5 or PhotoshopElements or even you might need to select Adobe and then PhotoshopElements before you see the Presets folder.
   6. Open PSE5 and you should be able to see your styles in your styles palette.

 

OMG, I wrote all that and forgot to post it.... I need more sleep.
