Thanks so much, Anne-Marie. I was trying to answer all of the new posts, but thought it would be good to do this update. I'm so thankful to be able to give you all this good news.
Thanks so much, Carrie. I'm planning to return home Saturday or Sunday, even though they don't want me to leave. I'd like to get home and spend a couple of days with my hubby before Christmas.
Glad to hear everyone is on the mend, that is such great news! I might have missed it, did they figure out what caused your granddaughter's infection? That's super scary!
Oh Cheryl, I'm so glad this has all improved. I'm so sorry I did not know what was going on, I haven't been online very much. And my granddaughter was in the hospital too! And is home now. It must be something in the air. They are so fortunate to have you there! Enjoy every moment, as I am sure you will!
Thanks, Sheri. You didn't miss it, I didn't post it, but it was caused by strep. We really didn't know all of the details until all of the tests came back. She DID have strep throat a couple of weeks ago and had been taking antibiotics, but the strep infection stayed in her body and became resistant to the antibiotics. It actually got in her bloodstream and was quite serious. She went to her doctor a day before she became so sick and he told her she was okay - just to stay on her antibiotics. They ended up taking her into the ER because they didn't know what was wrong. Very scary!!
Oh, Sweet Electra, I'm SO sorry to hear that your granddaughter was in the hospital, too!!! I hope she's okay now. That's so scary when our "babies" are sick. I think something is in the air.
Yikes, that is super duper scary! I'm so glad she ended up getting the right treatment and is on the mend.
Thanks so much! She looked pretty rough the first couple of days, but started bouncing back pretty fast after that. I told her to never do that again. (Like she had anything to do with it. Haha)
