When’s the last time you ate a pistachio ?
I don't remember the last time I ate a pistachio, long long time ago...

What is your favorite tree nut to eat ?
My favorite nuts are almonds and hazelnuts. For my afternoon snack, I love eating roasted almonds.

Do you know anyone with a nut allergy ?
When my son went on a school trip to England, he wasn't allowed to bring peanuts because one of his friends was allergic to them. Well, that didn't bother my son at all because he doesn't like them, but I know that some of the other children were sad because they wanted to bring M&Ms.

Have you ever seen or grown a nut tree ?
Three years ago, my son asked for a hazelnut tree for his birthday. It is still alive but does not grow much.

pecans....I do like peanuts/peanut butter too, but pecans have to be my favorite!

Yes I have seen pecans, in Florida at my Grandfather's house.

Starbucks definitely counts! ;) their pistachio drinks look delicious. I love that your grandfather had a pecan tree.

If nuts aren’t your thing, what do you eat instead? I like 'em! I found some cashew clusters at Aldi that I really like!

I’m glad you enjoy eating pistachios. I don’t think to buy them often either.

I, unlike you, am a pro at growing weeds lol that’s the extent of my growing though! My mom always gives me plants and I kill them all.

Pistacio and almonds are my favourite, but I do have a good white chocolate and macadamia brownie recipe I should find out again!

Thankfully, not any longer. My son once had a sleepover with friends, one of which had a very serious allergy. He was sick in the night which had me panicked, but apparently his parents had sent him over knowing there was a stomach bug in the family!

I'm so unhealthy, chocolate/biscuits are my favourites, although I am trying to add more fruit/yoghurt as snacks instead.

What is your favorite tree nut to eat? I've always loved walnuts and will eat cashews (have a can in my pantry I need to open). Love peanuts as well. I'll eat almonds in Hershey Almond bars but since I can't have chocolate anymore probably won't be eating those anymore.

Do you know anyone with a nut allergy? Sort of. I found out a couple years ago that I am allergic to walnut tree pollen. I haven't eaten walnuts in a long time (always had them at Christmas time in our house) but never had an issue eating them. So it seems I'm not actually allergic to the nut, just the pollen from the tree. To be safe, I'm just staying away from the actual nut.

Have you ever seen or grown a nut tree? Do the 4 walnut trees in my neighbors yard count? One is just 10 yards from my office window. When I got the results from the allergy testing, something clicked in my brain. I always got sinus infections in May and walnut trees start blooming in May. My fall sinus infections were explained by my allergy to ragweed which lasts from August until whenever the first freeze happens. I've lived in this house since I was 9 years old and didn't find out until I was 67 about the allergies!

If nuts aren’t your thing, what do you eat instead? I eat nuts almost every day, as snacks or in salads and use walnuts in baking or almond flour in baking.
