To Read

Cynthia, I have a 2nd generation Kindle, so it's probably at least as old as yours. It was really simple to set up the folders (of course, I can't remember HOW I did it, but I will happily take a look at let you know when I'm home tonight). I am going to cry buckets when this thing finally dies - I love it, and I don't want the new ones. Plus, I've figured out that if I keep my Wi-Fi turned off my library borrows never leave my kindle, so I can read them at my leisure and not on their 3-week deadline. So I download all of my library rentals via USB from my computer. The books are still available for someone else to borrow, and I can read them when I want.

really?????

I don't want to give you extra work, but if it's not too difficult I would love to learn!!!! I also love this one!!! is the pone with the little keyboard in it, it was a very special thing for me as I got it for free on a loyalty card point system....to me it would really make life so much simpler, but I do know you are busy so if you don't find it easy, I ll try do a search see if there is something about it somewhere ....
I ll look you up on Goodreads too :)

I brought some work home tonight but it shouldn't take long to figure out. Give me a day or so :)

Okay Cynthia - on mine, from the home page I hit the menu button the scroll down and select "Create New Collection." Type the folder name you want, then select save. You can create as many collections as you want.

Then, go to the book tile, and toggle the square button to the right. It will pull up a menu. Select "Add to collection." This will bring up all the folders you created. Scroll down until the collection you want is highlighted, then press the square button. You can then hit the home button and continue to move books into your collections. Holler if this doesn't make sense!

ohhh girl!!!!!! I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (well, I loved you already but I love you more now LOL) it makes sense of course, I ll try later on when am finished (woke up midday after 2 days no sleep!!)
Thank you so so much..... !!!!!!!!!

I use goodreads to track what I've read or want to read. My list is always growing but rarely shrinking :D I have quite a few scrapping friends and IRL friends on there that read a ton. I'm always getting recommendations from them. I also recently have started watching a few booktube channels. Lots of recommendations on there that are more recent releases.

Booktube Channels. - cool - where does one find those?

OMG... this is genius!!!!!

It's genius until this Kindle dies - I don't think the books will transfer over. So it's a great plan until I have to get a new Kindle ...

Julie, this was great indeed... it works to add to the collection..... but it doesn't move them? it includes them in the collection, but they still show in the list in the Home page? I know you are busy so no rush on this at all...but if you think there could be something in my settings that could change that, I would love to know :)

Cynthia, how do you have your home page sorted? Once you have your collections created and the books in them, toggle all the way up to the top so you've highlighted the very top line - it should say something like "Showing all XX items" on the left and "By Collections" on the right. Yours might say By Title? If so, toggle to the right and it will give you a bunch of options. Choose Collections and press the toggle switch. Then in will list just your collection categories, and you can select from there.
