Here's my big question I'm struggling with right now...and would LOVE some input!! How do you manage and keep track of all of your To Do's?

At work I am a list maker. I sit down at the start of the day and make a list with a tick box next to each point and then as I go through the day I tick things off.... it works a treat BUT at home I am hopeless!!

I have a spiral bound notebook with lined paper from Staples that I carry with me everywhere - it's even next to the bed when I go to sleep at night! I have tried everything from Evernote to desktop stickies, but this is the thing that works for me. Good old-fashioned paper & pen. I put coloured post-its on important pages with lists or notes I need to check.

However, I might start looking into this new planner trend now that we them in the store!

Evernote. ... i list things there, and then can access them everywhere. (Work/home/out) :)

I will make a list in my phone. If it's something with a deadline, I will add it to my calendar and set an alert to remind me.

I've done good old fashioned pen & paper for a while now, but I'm having some major breakdowns lately. I'm feeling buried in to-do's and tasks, and I feel like I'm way out of balance. I'm going to give todoist a try... thanks for all the input!!

I can sympthathize Rebecca. Good luck with whatever method you choose! I put every task on my calendar. I have outlook at work (required by employer) and use google at home and share with my family. I put each task in at the appropriate time if there is one and use the notes section of the appt to add in things I don't want to forget about it, such as my grocery list.

If I don't have a specific or appt for something, I will simply schedule the approximate day I think I will do it and put it in as an all day task so it shows at the top. Each night if I didn't get something done on that day's list, I move it to another day.

I then use calendars 5 on my phone. It syncs all my calendars and color codes them in my schedule. I can add new tasks to each individual calendar with it. It also pops reminders up on my phone to make sure I don't miss appts etc.

Denise, That helps so much! I think some of my breakdown has been not having my to-do's on my calendar. i'll have to think through this approach and see if i can get it to work for me.

My brain holds a lot of my lists.

At work, I know what needs to be done... and use my email/calendar for reminders for follow ups and stuff. So, when my boss becomes a nosy nelly... I leave a post it on my desk of what my next few tasks will be. Then she doesn't bother me as much. Otherwise, she will come to tell me what I know I have to do already. (DUH!... it's my job!)

At home... my brain, and occasionally, pen and paper. Never usually electronic.

Scrapping/CT/Admin Stuff... A "note" on my desktop with Designer Req's listing what is still needed to do, and my tutorial list. I erase items are they are completed. I use my email to keep my credits for each month. LOL... I have no idea how that started, but I have all the layouts I've made for each month, and what products listed as draft form in my email from the last 3 years, i think. For challenges that I'd like to complete, thumbnail/link on my desktop, and then those get trashed as I finish them.

Digital Albums that I work on for printing... I use color codes so I can see what months are needed more pages... so I have some representation for each month in a yearly album. Though... Summer months, warm weather has way more pages.

I'm weirdly organized. But... it works for me.
