Hi Guys... .Yesterday, I did the silliest thing.

I look at the clock - Woo Hoo 5pm!! Then I proceeded to clean up my desk, turn my computer off, start my car, empty my trash, head to the ladies room, and then pack up my stuff to go home.

After I use the restroom, my co-worker looks at me and says "you are leaving early?" I said no... and looked at the clock. It was 4PM!

oh-no.gif

I had an hour left of work. Ugh.

I sat down....

I turned my car off, restarted my computer, and waited till 5. Then my coworker and I howled about the whole thing! I would have literally left right then and there if she didn't say anything! I had no idea. It's so hilarious!

I did do some work, but my mind had already left the building! :giggle

Have you done anything like this? Has time not been on your side cause of your own mishap?!

I'm still giggling about how I was so serious about leaving... :compcoffee

Yesterday we drove downtown so my kid could audition for a play. Made it to the place and nobody was there except for a couple of ladies. Turns out we got the date wrong and the auditions are actually next week :( :lol

Oh, I ll come back later to tell you about my brain sending me on adventures with wrong timing....
Abbish, better early than late, I had that happening to me when Sarita was 7.... got the wires crossed and turned up the week AFTER the auditions.... the joys of getting old LOL

Oh my gosh Jenn! :rofl That's so funny! I have had that happen myself before, but I never made it quite as far as you did before I realized my mistake. I am in a new building at work since May and there are far less people in my new building. In my old building, you KNEW when it was time to go home because it was like a mass exodus and more often than not I would be working away and not realize it was time to go home until I heard everyone else leaving. Plus in my old building my hubby was in the office next door and he never missed 5:00. :giggle Now, in my new building I actually check twice before I leave to make sure it's really 5:00 because quite often there isn't anyone else around. Lol. It's like a ghost town with lots of people working from home these days too.

Definitely, :D
We did get to laugh about it afterward, so now we have a story to tell :yup

We have a manufacturing shop downstairs - stairs and rails - and they leave at 3:30, sometimes 4:30 in the summer. We also have people constantly going and coming all the time - to go measure stairs, or give estimates. I just really read the clock wrong! It's still so hilarious how serious I was... and if she didn't say anything, I really would have left! HAhahhahahah!

The last couple of weeks I've been thinking it is a different day of the week than it normally is. Just last night I was looking for the weekly "What is going on this weekend" post on another forum that gets posted on Thursday nights... duh, it was Wednesday. And, I knew it was Wednesday since I had just watched Amazing Race on tv.

I haven't messed up any appointments or things like that mainly because I'm not going anywhere except the grocery these days but I just keep thinking it is a different day than it is. In fact, today feels like a Friday but I know it is Thursday. The snow coming down probably doesn't help!

What was it about yesterday?! I didn't do it but my co-worker did and I was the one that told her that she was off by an hour!! I'm glad I caught it and went into her room...we work in a school and she was having the kids pack up to go home too!! :lmao

Haha - she made the kids pack up! :giggle

Mine have been the opposite. I've actually shown up (a couple of times) for an appointment on the WRONG day!! It's SO embarrassing - I've done it a couple of times with hair appts and a couple with doctor's appointments. At least, I didn't forget. :faint2:giggle

Well, at least you have integrity and stayed to finish out the day!!:giggle
We had a Christmas event we were to be at- I had asked hubster to check the start time. :duh:duh:duh ( O, I know!) and he said 7. Well, we had the 3 grands with us and were supposed to take a dessert. So, to kill two birds with one stone, we finished decorating our annual Christmas Cookies and I plated them up. I was so happy we did it without stress and had time to spare while the kids put their shoes on, washed, etc. As I was getting my coat, he pipes in and says, Oh, it is already in progress- it started at 6:00 --> it was 6:25!!!!! We rushed the kids into the car and got there for the tale end of the event. :faint2 I love him dearly but I WILL NOT ask him to check times of things in the future!!!:giggle:giggle:giggle

How about the time when I took my daughter to Little Flowers (Catholic equivalent to Girl Scouts but their badges are virtues) in Henderson (10 minutes away) and showed up at the lady's house and she said, "Oh no, we're at Mrs. X's house in North Las Vegas today!!!" Wasn't the wrong time - but I did arrive at the wrong time as we were 45 minutes away!!! LMAO

Or the time I completely forgot Melissa's First Communion Retreat and thought it was a week away until the Religious Ed Director called me asking where she was!!!

I'm a bad Mom...LMAO!

LOL!

Last Friday I thought it was already February. I sat down to pay the bills and start doing stuff in our checking out and wondering why my hubby hadn't been paid yet. I ask him and he's like...Um, I don't get paid until the 1st. Isn't it the first? No!

Then at church on Sunday I got there early to do some of the things I signed up for February and it was all already done. Someone had to tell me that it was still January!

Guess I was just ready for January to be over. Haha!

I have gone to work on a Sunday... wondered why the streets were so deserted.....
My father did one better than me. He started out for worth at 3am. (Normal starting time 6 am )

Yep, I get caught out all the time, mostly when I'm converting times (thanks TLP for putting the handy timezone convertor on the event posts....makes life easier for sure). The other times I have timing errors, its usually because my mum isn't well or has an unexpected day off for what ever reason....I tell the days by if she's going to work!

Lol! I’m in good company! :giggle
I’m not alone in my mess ups!

Oh, I do that all the time. But typically it's that I look at the clock once, and the second time I look at it about 2 hours have flown by and I've forgotten to do stuff. lol!

Piper got sick on Tuesday but for some reason I thought it was Monday. It all got worse from being at the Vet ER until 3 am. At any rate, my newsletter didn't go out and I said to Olivia, I need to send it out tonight. She was like Mom, it's Wednesday night already. Lordy.
