Those extra Pillows?|Pad Patter 8.16

I love decorative pillows, too :) I have them everywhere and yes, it seems like I am constantly picking them up from the floor or wherever they get thrown. We have 6 pillows in the bed and they all get used at night. I have two under my head and one propped behind those for some reason. DH sleeps on two and then has what I call his "cuddle pillow". I also like having the bed made and will make it after work if I have to, or at least before I go to bed...the covers must be straight and neat when I get in :)
 
Nope. 2 pillows on our bed. Mine and his. Sleeping only pillows.
Before he came along, I had many many many. I liked to have "company" in my bed I guess... something to lean on. But he is ginormous, and we only had a queen bed at first, so it didn't fit. We got rid of them. When I was pregnant, I used the Boppy pillow twisted all weird around me somehow, so that I had the back support, but also between my knees to help my hips.

The two that used to be on the couch were removed and are stored in our laundry room, collecting dust, rather than collecting dog hair or being thrown around/moved/chewed by people/pets.

And on occasion we make the bed before bed. But usually not. And definitely not in the morning. :hehe
 
I think in total we have about 3 decorative pillows. Two currently don't have their pillows inside them because they were washed and never put back on, and they both live on my daughter's bed. The other is in pride of place on the couch (most of the time) because it is a Thwomp cushion and we are big nerds :)

We don't do extra pillows on our beds, we don't even make our bed usually, lol. And we don't have a guest room to make look pretty (oh boy if I did!) because my sister lives with us. We just have one or two each and that is it!
 
Yes, I have decorative pillows on my bed! Of course! LOL And my bed gets made up in the morning, most of the time, but if it doesn't, I have to have the covers straightened up before going to bed.

Also, the decorative pillows have to be stacked neatly in the corner or else it drives me crazy and I can't sleep. Yes, I have issues. LOL

We each have two pillows that we sleep with . . . and then two pillows that are in decorative shams, and then one large pillow that has my monogram on it that my Mama hand embroidered as a Christmas gift.

I have two bolster pillows on each end of the couch, but they are small, and then 5 pillows and one bolster pillow on the chaise lounge.
 
4pillows ,and one extra that stay on a chair next to hubbys side. None decorative.I gave up on those and I gave up on bed spreads too (though I love them)because of dogs hair getting on them every time they got folded at night and put on a chair and our dog always ended up on it. Now I compromise. I buy really nice sheets, quilt covers,matching pillow cases,sometimes in contrasting colours . And when I make the bed in the morning it still looks fresh and nice.
 
Nope. No decorative pillows in this house. The pillows that came with our couches are well used too. I don't do that "don't touch it's decoration!" thing....lol
 
This is a funny one. When I was 'between husbands' as I call the 15 years before I married again, I was back in the US and saw the pretty marketing trend of all the bed pillows. I had a couple on my bed just for pretty. Then with a husband again, he thought they were insane so they went. However, we both have always liked to read in bed so I got 36" Euro firm pillows, along with our regular pillow, which made the bed more attractive imho.

Once I started having knee problems, the doc recommended I sleep with a pillow between my knees. That pillow often disappeared during the night, finding it's way down to the floor. Now we each have our own pillow on the bed, and there is also a king sized pillow that matches the duvet cover. Bed always gets made in the am esp as it only means shaking that duvet and putting the big square ones back on from the floor. Probably about 30+ seconds to fix the bed.
 
There was a time in which the cushions, not pillows, but cushions that I put in bed for show, to look nicer, were thrown on the floor at bed time and go back (fluffed) in the morning....
but now that my bed is my Kingdom....
every pillow and every cushion is used.
I stay on the left side of the bed, that has the computer on a desk , during the day, and have tons of pillows and cushions making a support for my back and a pillow and a cushion to support my right leg that needs to be elevated most of the time.
Then for sleeping, I have two of the best,. most amazing pillows, which I sleep with, Morning after I go back to the left side and my pillows & cushions!!!!
 
I sleep with three pillows... none of them decorative. While I'm up at night, reading or whatnot, I have other pillows I use that could fall into the decorative category... but they are just more like extra pillows. We never make our bed unless it is when I'm changing the sheets, and that is usually right before we go to bed. LOL. I like to think I'm saving my bed-making energy for other things. Spoon theory.

At the beach house, we do have two decorative pillows on the bed (one is a Sissy Sparrows pillow) and that bed gets made. :giggle
 
So my husband read that airing the bed sheets out each day killed the mites or something. So he always throws the covers back. Most days I just leave them like that.

He has two very worn out, very flat pillows that he won't let me replace. I have one of the contoured memory foam ones. We have decorative pillows but they spend most of the time piled on the floor.

Yep. I have read that before. True or not, it keeps my mother-in-law quiet when she complains about my daughter not making her bed each morning. Lol!
 
OMG! I am a show pillow gurl all the way!!! Show pillows on sofas, chairs and beds! I should maybe count how many show pillows are in our home. (Can you say... TOO MANY!)
 
There was a time (years ago) I had some show pillows on my bed and my couch, but there came a point when I decided they were useless and I got rid of them for good.

Every person in the house does have at least 2 good down pillows, and we have one extra in the living room, but it gets stored in a drawer, and my husband pulls it out when he want to lie on the couch.
