This week I am looking forward to greeting my son at the airport on Wednesday afternoon. He is returning from serving a 2-year LDS mission. I can't wait to see him and give him a great BIG HUG! I'm so excited that I can't hold it in any longer! Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming!

Now it's your turn, finish this sentence. This week I'm looking forward to...

Oh my goodness! That is HUGE Kayla @keepscrappin - so excited for you!!!! Are you planning a special party for him?!

I'm looking forward (later today when she gets home) to hearing how my youngest liked her first full day at her first summer job (well any job really!). She got picked to be a part of a local Film Studio summer work program. I think there were 120 applicants but only 50 accepted. And only 3 people got their scripts for a short film picked. Hers was one of the scripts! She gets paid to learn how to produce a film! It's a dream come true and she can use the film (she's the writer and the director) for her college applications to film schools in the fall. I'm giddy with excitement for her!

Yes, we are planning a BIG party for him! I ordered an 8x4 foot welcome home banner and will be putting up balloons too. He'll report on his mission on Sunday and we are having a BIG luncheon after church for family and friends. It's going to be a pretty busy week for me, but it'll all be worth it to finally have him home. He won't be home for long though because he's heading off to college the end of August.

That's so cool about your DD's film job! What an amazing opportunity! You'll have to let us know how it goes.

That's so exciting, @keepscrappin - I know you'll have a great reunion! @jenn mccabe - that's so cool about your daughter's new job - that should be a fun job. I worked for 3 years for an entertainment attorney and he was also a writer - he and his partner published a few books and had one big made for TV hit.

I'm looking forward to getting the house cleaned. I don't have a big life. Haha

This week I'm looking forward to celebrating with my husband. Friday is our 22nd wedding anniversary. We don't have plans for this weekend because he's going away on a business trip, but we've already been talking about it since the 3rd, which is the anniversary of the day we first met in person. Two weeks after we met online in 1994. :heartlub:heartlub

Cleaning my house is the one thing I'm not looking forward to this week... hehe! But since I'm the chief cook and bottle washer around here, that's on my to-do list. Hopefully, I can get my hubby and girls to help out a little more this week since we'll have company over.

22 years... way to go! So cool that you met online and you're still going strong! We will have 23 years in December!

Whoo hoo, Kayla! While I'm sure you're proud of him and the mission work he has done, I bet you're ready for him to be back home. :)

And my answer is the opposite of yours lol: This week I'm looking forward to a "stay-cation" because the kids are with their grandparents for 2 weeks, so I'm finally free! I woke up this morning on my own: no door banging at 5am, no kids screaming/fighting, no storming through the house, no whining for more sugary cereal. I woke up because my internal alarm clock said it was time. It was beautiful. (And now I'm binge-watching Southern Charm and, of course, checking out TLP uninterrupted. Woot woot!)

And tonight I'm looking forward to putting up a storm door with DH. Then tomorrow I'll start the prep work for painting the owner's suite. Goodness, how BORING am I?! "The kids are gone so I'm gonna do some DIY stuff" lol!

This week I'm looking forward to...

A unicorn birthday party on Saturday!!! Lots of my little cousins in fancy dresses & a horse as a unicorn! I get to photograph it & I'm excited.

Then I'm looking forward to flying to Vegas Sunday to see my niece turn one & spend the week with her!

oh sending the kids away and doing what you want sounds heavenly! ENJOY IT! I've joked several times over the years that I'm going to send my hubby and the kids on vacation and I'm going to just stay home and do nothing!

That unicorn party sounds amazing! I've done lots of parties for my kids over the years but never something as grand as a unicorn party! I can't wait to see your pix!

Oh my goodness, y'all have some awesome things to celebrate this week! So happy for everyone!

Nothing "big" going on here but I'm soaking in all these newborn snuggles (and trying to keep the littlest one safe from the toddler's over-zealous love). :)

To all a time and a season... when I was going through those newborn and toddler years, I swore I'd never miss them. But now that they're all grown and have BIG, BIG problems, I wish I could go back and just snuggle them in tight and never let them grow up. You're smart to ENJOY it while you can, because you'll blink and they'll be grown and moving on.

Oh my goodness - that is so exciting Kayla! You must be so incredibly proud of him! I hope you have a wonderful reunion.

I am looking forward to learning what my new iPhone 10 camera can do. After many years with my old phone, I finally succumbed to a particularly good upgrade deal :) I am excited to be able to shoot photos in RAW format and edit them in Lightroom, even though my first brief forays into Lightroom have been super confusing!

Ah, you have so many fun things to look forward to.

DD is going to culinary camp on Sunday and this was soo much fun for her last year. Some of the friends she made last year are coming back, so I am very excited for her. Other than that, picking blueberries and I might paint my oldest son's old bedroom that has become a junk room since he moved out 4 years ago. DD will help with it because she is lobbying to turn it into her art room (and auxiliary baking supply room). Hmmm, if I clean up the bonus room, which is also full of junk and my paper scrapping supplies, we could move my stuff in there too and the spare bed into the bonus room.... Then I might paper scrap again...

oooh, and maybe even do some Lilypad Letters? :P
I hope your DD has a fun time at culinary camp. That sounds so fun, especially with friends returning!

That is so awesome, Kayla!! I'm thrilled for you!!
And what great things everyone has to look forward to this week!!
This week, I'm looking forward to...hmmm reading a book!! I just finished one and I'm deciding on the next one to start! My deck, my coffee, my book! I haven't had enough time for that this summer. I'm also looking forward to getting a few projects around the house started.

I'm looking forward to having friends over Wednesday afternoon to play mah jongg, relaxing over lunch at a friend's house on Friday, and hopefully being done with vacation planning this week! We leave on the 19th and I can't believe how much time it's taking to plan a 2+ week road trip.
