i've asked around about this - i haven't got a definitive answer yet - my thinking is becausse even if you have a free account, to upload you have to be logged in, so it should stay in your account - but in theory, anything we upload anywhere is h.a.c.k-able and sharable ?! so i get what you are asking and i've had this reluctance to use cloud based programs and even storage in the past but so many programs have gone that way now. From my understanding part of the restriction of the free accounts on Canva is you have limited upload space anyway, so there is no way I could put much stash on there, i've just been adding specific photos or pieces of kits and papers as i plan to use them. It should tell you at some ppoint your upload ?area is full and you need to delete some before using more. Even the Pro level has a space restriction, it's not unlimited.I’ve also wondered about things we drag and drop and AI if we use it, does is stay for others to use?
As for using the iPad/tablet, i haven't tried that. I've tried on my phone but i just can't do anything without a mouse lol!
If you are able to do even half of what you normally would do on your epic pages within Canva, I would be super surprised. I find it really limiting, but if you use it a great deal for work, you may know about and already have a bunch of apps within Canva that I just can't imagine having to learn about before even knowing to search for them, if that makes sense. At least in Photoshop, whatever i wanted to do was in some menu already on there somewhere. With Canva, I don't even know what I need to download as an add-on app but it feels like most of the normal functions of Photoshop are either Pro level parts I can't access to try without plugging in my financial details or they are extra apps in Canva with names I don't even know to search for without a lot of googling.
I made a layout in PhotoPea today. It was a game changer for me. I feel like i need to finish my blog post on templates in Canva first though before I introduce another new program and why I'm not planning to keep using Canva, but it's cloud-based also but also has a desktop app associated with it so the upload and TOU issue is still in my mind. I should add i haven't used AI in either program as far as I know.
