recently it seems that there are a lot more designers that are for art journaling type layouts. I love doing a few art journaling layouts but mostly like more real type stuff. not sure how you describe the other type things in the store. and there arent as many templates as before. is it just me ? anyone else notice this. hoping we can get some more "other" stuff and challenges as well from designers

I totally understand where you are coming from, I'm not a big art journaler either.

There are design ebbs & flows within digital scrapping & the wider digital scrapbook community where ever you are. I'm sure Esther as the owner & the existing designers are taking into consideration with what is popular/will sell plus you never know what may pop up over the coming months as trends change.

i'll add 'using AJ stuff for non-AJ and traditional pages' to my mental list of potential blog topics (@Karen will remind me or add it to her running list if i forget as she's much more organised)
- is it more the artsy templates you are trying to adapt or artsy papers Bobbie?
And maybe you can link me to a product so I can understand - feel free to inbox me (@bellbird)

I think for traditional scrapbooking we have some great choices here, like ninigoesdigi, Sahlin Studio, Studio Kaleidoscope, Anita Designs, Gina Miller, One Little Bird, Rachel Etrog Designs. I would definitely explore those designers. Some may not be putting out new product right now, but you never know what's in their archives you might enjoy. I know Kiana at Studio Kaleidoscope is a template creator, too, but I agree we're missing a dedicated template designer.

@bjc Bobbie, have you also checked out the "still trending" section of the forum? As @scrapchyck Becky indicated, the noted designers she posted, are more traditional and also the more traditional is also highlighted in the still trending section here: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/still-trending-in-october.98330/post-1673158

I do a lot of "clean page" styles even with the more "artsy" elements etc. of Designer kits. Also a lot of the designers also makes templates so check them out too.

Here the templates https://the-lilypad.com/store/digital-templates/ which are pretty much adaptable to all styles.. even if there is masks or a lot of ink, you can always remove those layers for your page... Also a great idea is to mix and match your templates too :)

I hope these posts assist you in what you are looking for.

I saw Rachel Etrog answered your design wish regarding the Shana Tova kit :)

oh, dont get me started... memory keeping is the thing of past.
