Thinking of starting a blog...

I know, I know... I'm probably behind in the blog times and have sworn up and down that I probably would never get one but I'm thinking that it would be a better place to document all the stuff I write and random bits of paper (and then end up losing).... so, whatcha blog with?

i started there because it was free. i've stayed because it's worked for me. i've done everything from use their basic blog format to having someone redesign it...and then design it myself. it's currently very streamline and now i'm getting bored with the look of it...been considering a redesign but just haven't found the creative mojo yet.

You can host a blog at wordpress.com, which is free. Or you can use free wordpress software on your own site.

I do the latter. But hardly keep up with my blog.

Oh yeah...a blog is fun! it's YOUR place and you are free to do whatever you want with it...I just love mine!

I use Wordpress too and it's very easy to use.

I actually use Squarespace, only because Jessica Sprague uses it and I love the way she has hers set up. It's $7/month for the basic plan. I upgraded to it from Blogger, because it's What-you-see-is-what-you-get editing, which I was constantly frustrated by in Blogger, but maybe I just didn't know enough? But I also love being able to see where my traffic is coming from, how many people subscribe to it, etc. And it was incredibly easy to set up and get started with.
