Okay girls, I realize that trends cycle through and repeat themselves, but I have to be honest, I was pretty surprised when I opened up my email from Old Navy and this was the ad image

I can remember being in like 1st or 2nd grade and asking my mom for this little dress set that was color blocking in bright bold colors that really had nothing to do with each other. I guess i wasn't expecting this particular fashion trend to make a comeback.

Any thoughts? Do you love it? Hate it? just plain confused like me? :dizzy

I mean really, now that I'm taking yet another look at this ad, I'm thinking it almost looks like those pants are pegged? No? idie if pegging comes back. For real.
 
The bright colors definitely bring me back! And I like it! I have been trying to be more colorful - even though I'm wearing khaki and navy today.

My sister and I call those vests "life preservers" ever since we saw Back to the Future ages ago! :)
 
It brings me back too... not sure if I'm liking it though. I love bright colors, just not sure I really like the blocking of those colors.
 
I admit that I had to look up both those terms. *blush*
 
yep, that was pretty much my assessment too... the colored pants are cute... for my 6 year old. on me, not so much.
but i do like the shirt combos.
and i love color.
i think there's just something to be said for finding the right color combo.
 
I don't mind bright and fun shirts my daughter has tons, but brightly colored pants I won't buy.
Unfortunately I remember this style, my lovely mother used to dress me up very weird when I was young (when everything was bright and didn't match)
 
i love the bright colored skinnies.
my sons favorites are red and purple.
i just wish i could find them for boys.
he's getting kind of old to keep wearing girl jeans.

I am not a colored jeans person..sweats, yoga pants, etc. great...but jeans or slacks, I will stil with my usuals. For shirts, tops and sweaters, I am all for the color! :)
 
Oh i must be weird LOL, because I love it! I really really love it for my kids - and I think it's kind-of fun for adults too - not for an entire wardrobe, but for a few pieces! I'd probably wear the colored jeans with a black top to tone them down though ;) I looooove 80's styled clothes!
 
I like the bright colors although I think I am too old to wear the bright colored jeans. I do think those jeans look like they are pegged and rolled up. Ugh. That style is so not flattering on me at.all. What happened to straight leg & boot cut? Why is everything about the skinny jeans now?
