That’s so Random | Pad Patter 6/12

Before I had to get prescription close-up glasses, I had readers all over the house, too. Half the time, I couldn't even find them. LOL

I've never heard of sock-shoe; sock-shoe. I'm imagining that in my head.

I HATE purses, but have to carry my "real" glasses now and they're way too expensive to not carry in the case - my glasses are pretty big, so my case is, too. If I don't have them with me, I can't read price tags. I also need sunglasses, my phone and money, ID. I finally found a smaller purse that I like though - it's a Kavu - I'd never heard of that brand, but it reminds me of the old LeSportsak bags that I can't find anymore. It has lots of velcro pockets, so I don't have to dig for anything. I found it in a little boutique and it even had a small wallet inside (which I don't use). Oh, I absolutely have to have a cross body strap, which this one has.

Okay, reporting back - I am a left foot sock-shoe, right foot sock-shoe girl. Here is why - I hate the idea of dirty socks on my feet, so I have to put my shoes on ASAP to keep my socks clean. What's funny is that I don't seem to mind putting dirty feet in my socks. I go barefoot all year, even outside so I am sure they are often dirty when entering the socks. Hmm....

I'm almost afraid to say I have a large handbag with me 99% of the time (like a huge purse is what most of you would say, it fits my DSLR + heaps more room, but a purse to me is like the female equivalent of a wallet, just fits cards & cash) but feel like I can't b/c that would be different and possibly interesting, seeing what so many have already said. The current one is reddish in a croc skin effect, probably vinyl ( IDK). I've always been a handbag person, I hate having t hings in my pockets other than my hands & sometimes my key if out just for a walk, especially now it's freezing here.

I've never thought about the sock thing! I thought I overthink & analyse everything but apparently not! I don't know if I've overthought the topic of boring but I feel like the boring bits about my life are just the everyday things we barely notice anymore but that I've been scrapping about for years to try to preserve for when the everyday looks different (ie. I've moved from tripping over toys on the floor all over the house to stepping over clothing and towels on the floor of their rooms etc)

Ok... so.... if I'm wearing my Sperry slip on shoes with the no-see socks... I put on sock, shoe, then the other sock and shoe... BUT... it's because sometimes the socks slip off when the shoe isn't on. :rofl

I choose my purse size based on having enough room to fit a Jimmy Johns sub inside. It's mostly empty, but I like to be able to put "stuff" in there when I need a hand free.

Which Jimmy Johns sub? :lol

Me too! And I make up songs as I'm doing things. It drives my kids bonkers.

Speaking of socks in this thread I absolutely HATE when people leave dirty socks laying around the house. One of my biggest pet peeves.
My one cat steals my socks so I always find them in random places in the house. He will go in the laundry hamper and dig for them.

I was going to tag you if you hadn't reported back!! :lmao

That makes sense. I have some new Harry Potter socks that have white on them so I have done this recently now that I think about it. But just with these socks.

I do not like being barefoot outside. The cement bothers my feet. So I have to put some slides on

I only wear Sandals until it is too cold. My daughter wears sandals year round (we live in South Louisiana and it is mild for most of the winter and she doesn't care for tennis shoes unless she is working out) I don't wear socks unless it is too cold.

boring fact- my dad (RIP) had funny sayings I say. One is "got my a**" when i asked him did he have his keys and what he needed. The other is a song he sang to me everytime I saw him and it is by Bing Crosby: Let me call you sweetheart, I'm in love with you. I sing that song all the time, just randomly, alone.

Oh and I spend alot of time at my daughters house and her husband leaves dirty socks everywhere- couch, kitchen counter, sofa, living room. (He has taught my grandson (age 2) to put them in the dirty clothes!!! lol

I choose mine based on my DSLR fitting in it like @bellbird . The sub makes me laugh, but I'm so respectful of that!

I also choose a purse that I can fit a camera inside, although it is not my DSLR. I have a Canon Powershot SX740 that works for that purpose. But I have to have a purse. And, it must be big enough to hold my little notebook of important items. Several years ago I decided to write everything down in a notebook... for things that I might need. Printer ink product numbers, types of light bulbs used since the dining room light are different than all the others. It is full of oddball stuff like that, stuff I might decide I need when I'm out in a store but don't know specifics off the top of my head. And, I have a list of the jigsaw puzzles I have in there as well. It has saved me from purchasing a puzzle a 2nd time several times! I've also used it to write down info about things I see in a store so that I can check to see if it works when I'm home. It has come in very handy!

When I take my DSLR somewhere, the bag has to be big enough to put my wallet in so that I don't have to also carry a purse. Not to mention the sunglasses and phone.
