TGIF! What's on for the weekend!?

We need to do major painting too and I don't think it's gonna get done unless I start. We are in a rental/military housing and I about started just pulling up carpet today. I am so sick of waiting for people to come fix things for us...I figure it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission lol

MY HUSBAND GOT A JOB AND STARTED IT THIS AFTERNOON! I was laid off in October & he was laid off in January, so THIS IS A REALLY BIG DEAL! WOOT! WOOT! :yesss

He will be working tomorrow, too, and DD is at the ILs' for a sleepover, so it'll just be the baby & me most of tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get DS to take one good nap without me holding him so I can scrap. VBS starts Sunday evening, so we'll have that going on most of next week.

Of course, I'll be waiting with bated breath for an email from Laura! :beat

We are having some lovely wintry sunny weather here so its perfect to head out doors (except for the sinus headache I am suffering with) and this weekend we are heading off to our favourite annual Medieval Festival to watch jousting and the grand parade, archery, dancing and Gypsy fortune telling! Lots of photos of course!!

Well, I took yesterday afternoon off work because it was 82° and sunny and we HAD to have a beach day with our boys (I work with my hubby and he took off too). We went to the beach and had the best lazy day. We swam, they played in the sand and then my boys just laid in the sand and had a 30 minute long conversation together about who knows what. It was so cute! My hubby and I enjoy an adult beverage and sat and talked and just chilled. We felt the need to do this because it's supposed to rain all day today. Boo!

Tomorrow we take my oldest to camp for a week and then my hubby and I are going to a concert (Zach Brown Band). :)

I made a Watermelon & Feta salad for the 4th of July party we went to last weekend and it was a HUGE hit! Here's a recipe that's similar to what I made (although I made pickled red onions instead of the shallots): http://theaccidentalokie.com/watermelon-feta-salad-gluten-free/ Not sure how to get around the NO fat for the dressing, but maybe just make it without the oil? Never tried to make dressing without olive oil, but maybe it works.

For my weekend, I have a pretty lazy weekend ahead. Catching up on reading and hopefully finding some scrapbooking time too :)

oh my gosh, looks delish. she needs her veggies cooked tho, however might just have to make that for our family lol.
