It's Friday!! The sun is shining and it's looking like it will be a beautiful weekend! What do you have planned?

We're heading to the lake again for some swimming and boating. Can't wait! I am ready for a few days of R&R.

:swingin

Oh - and there is that matter of the Polly Call to finish up. 3 days left!

It's a beautiful weekend coming up here so we'll finish up some yard work and then go to a friends place for a BBQ. can't wait! still trying to figure out what to bring tho, because my friend is gluten, dairy, corn, egg white, (all) fat/oil free and can only have cooked veggies. I want to make a cooked veggie salad, but haven't found one yet doesn't have things in it that she can't have.

oh I can find you some recipes Andrea... will have a look at what I have digital, or try to find time to copy later on ...

I'm gonna be filling in forms for tax returns, horrid paper work...but I won the Trend Watch last month so I'll treat myself to some Pad nice stuff and that ll make it muuuuuch better!!!!!!

Got tons of stuff I would love to watch but not much time at the moment, the weather is a bit temperamental in London now so doubt I ll be missing much....

I'm getting my boy back from Grandma & Grandpa! :) A week is long enough... I miss him!

After a week of icky dreary weather, the sun has peeked out the first time in 6 days!

Maybe we'll have a day at a big outdoor swimming park :) Here's to hoping the good weather will stick!

I made a Watermelon & Feta salad for the 4th of July party we went to last weekend and it was a HUGE hit! Here's a recipe that's similar to what I made (although I made pickled red onions instead of the shallots): http://theaccidentalokie.com/watermelon-feta-salad-gluten-free/ Not sure how to get around the NO fat for the dressing, but maybe just make it without the oil? Never tried to make dressing without olive oil, but maybe it works.

For my weekend, I have a pretty lazy weekend ahead. Catching up on reading and hopefully finding some scrapbooking time too :)

It looks like we will have a nice weekend. I'm taking my son to see his soccer team's 2nd last soccer game of the season (my son is still out with his broken collarbone). Then it is World Cup soccer on Saturday + Sunday!

My oldest is off to Parkour (Free running) lesson tonight and then DH is taking him camping for the weekend with the Scouts -- they are sleeping outside, no tents, no cabins, just looking up at the stars and enjoying nature at its best. At least they do have an "executive" porta-potty which means it has a deoderizer and a heater in case it get cool enough overnight. :giggle They should have a fabulous time.

I'm hoping to find some time to get outside and garden.

Summer has finally come here, with 30+ Celsius weather for the next week...we plan on going to the drive-in, and heading out to the lake to do some wake surfing!!! I can't wait to finally be out on the water again!!
Oh...and I'm gonna try to keep my mind off of the Polly Call...knots in my tummy every time I think about it!!

I'm getting my daughter ready for her week stay at nature camp next week. Ran to Target today to get most of the stuff she needs that she doesn't already have, and so I didn't have to do it on a Saturday b/c it's super busy in there on Saturdays! Plus, we're probably just laying low as she was sick these past few days and I want to make sure she's better before she goes.

Oh... and doing lots of this.... :waiting and probably a little bit of this :wine waiting for Monday to get here. :yup

:pollywog:pollywog:pollywog:pollywog:pollywog

:giggle

Only 3 more sleeps. :yippee

Maybe some scrapping too, and I might dig into a book for the first time in ages! :hammock

Laura, sounds like fun!! I hope you get to enjoy it with a clear head! Don't think of the polly call, enjoy and have fun.

You are lucky, we are having such bad weather these days around here, there has even been a storm! Also this weekend, but we are rounding up things for our trip monday. The boys will be playing in the house or the garden. I'm glad they are back!

Heather, so adventurous, your boy! I hope he has real fun!

It's gorgeous here in the bay area. Hubby's working all weekend so the boys & I will have to fond something to do. Maybe the beach. We had a great time at the farm park last weekend. Then there's constantly thinking about that Polly call...

Not a clue... my husband is currently dropping our son off at the airport for a trip to Haiti for the week. I've been so consumed with that lately that I don't have a clue what we'll do this weekend. Need to figure something out soon since our daughter does not do the only child thing well.

I had a project day at my house today with my dad and because of that a day off from work. You would NOT believe how much we got done! I have work benches all along one side of my garage that were neat when I moved in 9 years ago... not so much now. You know how it is, put something down, stack something, etc. It looks amazing! And while I did that my dad replaced a GFCI outlet, replaced the workings of two toilets, patched and caulked all over, worked on pool filter and helped me find homes and organize all the outside stuff.

He was a real trouper today! I'll get all that caulked stuff touched up and do a little cleaning before my daughter comes home next weekend.

I'm going to try to get one of the kids' rooms painted. It's been on my to do list for over a month. And I have to get some scrapping done! I've been so distracted late... oh, shiny!

lol!

Going to see Bruno Mars and spend Sunday at Hershey Park.

Unfortunately, my computer died and I am without photoshop. )=

This pretty much sums up my life :giggle

I decided to start a major purge of all the extra "crap" we own. I pretty much have just one room left...my office/studio/craft space. It probably going to have to wait though until the kids go back to camp Monday or at least go to bed each night.

So I think this weekend we shall just relax and plan nothing. There is a possibility of a new kitten coming home with us tomorrow. Our local shelter got a huge influx of cats and kittens this week and they are doing a non fee adoption event thru the 13th.

My oldest turned 18 in January and decided he didn't want to listen to the rules anymore in April. Shocker. :/
He moved out, but left in a huff and only came back for one bag of clothes. I had breakdowns every time I went in to clean out the room, but I finally got it done since he's made it clear he isn't coming home anytime soon. :(
Our younger 2 have always have always had to share a room and now our 10 year old is going to move in there. They are pretty excited, but nobody seems to be in a hurry to help me clean up the walls, etc to paint, lol.
