The weekend is almost here. What do you have planned?

I am volunteering at Field Day today at my youngest daughter's school, so I will definitely be ready for the weekend by this afternoon! If the rain holds off, I meeting up with some neighborhood girlfriends for a glass of wine on the patio tonight. Tomorrow, we're heading to the opening of the Farmer's Market and taking the dog to the vet for a check-up. Saturday night is date night! It's DH's turn to plan, so I don't know what we're doing yet. They just opened a new Cinetopia here with couches and a full restaurant in the theater, so I have a feeling we might be heading there. Sunday is church and softball. For the holiday on Monday, we're having a barbeque with my best friend and her family along with the family of one of DH's friends. I'll be in the kitchen all day Monday getting everything ready, but that's OK! It's going to be super fun.

This weekend?

the man and I are going to a near by town for some thrift store shopping.. (I collect Blue Willow Pottery and he collects A LOT of toys..)..

Then on Sunday I get to spend the afternoon at the airport working.. :P

we are having a smaller dinner party tonight!! and going to use the firepit for the first time!! so excited!!

Hubby and FIL are going fishing with a couple of the kids and trying to talk me into going too. My son is coming home from Little Rock for the weekend, so that's a big plus!

We always do pizza + a movie on Friday nights, so we're watching some random Redbox cartoon movie. I am still trying to talk DD into homemade pizza, but she is insisting on Tombstone. Since DH is GF, buying him a pizza is upwards of $7 (and then having to buy DD and me a separate one since he eats an entire pizza himself), so I'm trying to save us some cash. Why doesn't she understand that?! :giggle

Tomorrow we have a cookout planned with our Bible study people. They haven't met the baby yet, so I can't wait for extra hands to pass him off to while I eat and relax outside. We'll see my ILs at some point, but not sure when.

That's it. The baby is still small enough that going out with him (or planning around him) can be a pain, so I've been sticking kinda close to home for now.

We're heading to our trailer this afternoon for a few days. The rain should stop tomorrow so am looking forward to bringing Taz for a run in the ranch and hopefully will find some other dogs for him to play with. Tonight and tomorrow night will be a marathon watching of Game of Thrones (I'm just finishing season one) and scrapping on my laptop which is slow but it's better than nothing.

Cleaning & decluttering as I am moving back home in two weeks
Working on final assignments for uni
Possibly looking at a couple of optometrists if I'm out
Go to gym for a workout as I only have a week before my contract is up

Hoping to get the may challenges scrapped. DH has homework, so keeping the little one away from his desk is also on the list. Breakfast for dinner Sunday with the family (Idk why we aren't BBQ!).

I have a work meeting tonight and then we are going shopping for our little camping trip. Then one night of camping, plenty of fishing and hopefully a fish fry!!!!

Hubby and I are meeting DD to walk through a house she wants to buy later this evening and then we're having a late dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Tomorrow I'm helping my sister move into her new home and we're all supposed to get together for a BBQ later in the evening ... I am soooooo craving hubby's baby back ribs, Sunday I work and then Monday through Wednesday I'm out of town.

I am hoping to do as little as possible this weekend! No plans whatsoever! DD is out of town with friends, DS #1 is away for 2 weeks with the National Guard, and DH is working night shift all weekend, so DS #2 and I are on our own. It's been so crazy hectic and stressful the last couple of weeks, I told him we would just chill. He can play games and ride bikes and I am hoping for quiet time on the deck with sunshine and a book! Sounds so heavenly!

A trip to the pool store and a long day of scrubbing the pool and spraying out filters. Our water is cloudy and we can't figure it out and the girls are dying to swim, lol!!

My little guy and I hung after school. We had his fave: pizza pasta and browsed Ebay. Tomorrow will be a used book sale and lunch with my son, and the pool opens! Sunday im sure will be swimming all day! Monday we will be having a picnic with the adult kids coming over.

We spent all day in the yard today (took a day off work - woohoo!) and were planning on dinner and smores over a fire up the canyon but got rained out.. So we took my brothers-in-law out to dinner instead and one of them is staying the night with us.. We'll try the canyon again tomorrow, then it's finishing up in the yard, inside the house (which has been neglected all week) and who knows what else.. Sunday is church, and Monday is open.. Man - I think every weekend should be a four-day weekend!

We have NO plans for the weekend, which is how I like it. It's looking like it will be pretty nice, so I imagine we'll take a motorcycle ride somewhere one of the days. Got my grocery shopping done on the way home last night but I need to do a walmart run at some point. And unfortunately, I will probably squeeze some work in somewhere over the next three days.

I'll celebrate my birthday today by scrapping while my DH has gone to visit the cemetery. The weekend will be laid back.

Happy Birthday!!

We finished up school yesterday so we are all breathing a big sigh of relief. DH is working nights this weekend, but when he gets home on Sunday morning, we are packing up and heading to my parents house in Illinois for a week of nonstop fun with the grandparents, aunts and uncle and cousins (since my sisters and their kids are joining us). Today, I have to pack and clean house since we are letting a friend stay at our house while we are gone---and be quiet so that my husband can sleep a bit.

Let's see...

I had to work yesterday...
Today I work...
Sunday I work...
Monday I work....

I hate retail :dizzy

Happy Birthday, Sandy!

My dear hubbie and youngest son are off for a weekend of fun at the annual Cuberee. This year it is a Medieval theme, so I spent the last half of the week making 25 knight helmets out of 22 x 24" cardstock. Plus a Friar Tuck costume (the leaders are going as Robin Hood and his Merry Men), and a knight costume complete with faux chainlink shirt and cowl. My calluses have calluses!

Then last night I helped out at my oldest's last Grade 5/6 Sonburst fun night. I was on kitchen duty, so I helped make food for 72 kids. What a turnout, and such a fun evening for everyone. We have the most amazing Youth Pastor for the K - 6 kids, plus an amazing bunch of parents who volunteered to make the evening a success.

I got to use an Aga oven for the first time and it was amazing. But for $15,000 for an oven and range, plus the radiant heat leaking into the kitchen in the hot summer, I think I'll have to pass. I made 96 S'Mores in the oven for the kids and they disappeared as quickly as we put them out.
