TGIF! Weekend plans?

@jenn mccabe I miss XC meets! My son who is now married used to run cross country in high school. those were fun times.
aww, that's cool that your son used to do it. our nephew was pretty awesome at it, and runs XC for Harvey Mudd now. but my son just started a few weeks ago ... and is quite terrible, lol. :giggle he is always one of the last to finish. for us it more about being on a team and participating and being social. so he's been kinda steering us to NOT watch until he improves. even though we've told him a million times we don't care if he is dead last. but we did go to two so far ... it is fun and exciting to watch them run in the packs as teams! and some of the parents ... oh my word they can get crazy. i had no idea! i kinda sit back and take it all in.

Hey, grandma, we need some details!!!!! Congrats. What a gorgeous baby!

He is pretty awesome!! His name is Wyatt Alan and he was 7lbs 15oz and 21in long. Pretty big baby for my 4'11, normally 96lb daughter. He was due next weekend, but decided to make his appearance a little early. She was in labor about 9 hours total, I guess. Not too bad, but she was hoping for labors like I had...my longest was about 2 1/2 hours lol. I got to be in the delivery room and help, too (partly because they thought daddy would pass out, but he did great)...that was cool! And thanks :)

I have learned by what happened this weekend, that I need to email everyone of my friends to let them know DSD was moved..... even the non scrappers.
we had un announced visitors Friday , Sat & yesterday.....
I love having people over...in Brazil you don't really need to make a date for visiting people....especially in Trancoso in the northeast that we lived in a very small sea side village...everyone knows everyone, they are on their way to the bakery and will stop to chat a bit....
the ways things are now for us, I would welcome more people to come help..... but I had my DSD time restricted because I could not shooo them out LOL
We live just a few blocks from the Round House where the iTunes Festival goes on, so I think that was what brought them all this weekend!

Congrats Jan.

And Cynthia, I had a wedding to attend Friday. I never have any plans and my social life is zilch, but one day I needed to be at the pc I was out socialising!

I love these threads and seeing all the fun things everyone is doing!!
We had football on Friday and the homecoming dance on Saturday. Courtney took the SAT on Sat morning and I cleaned the house/ran errands. Sunday was a resting day. I finished my teaching job last week and had so much many house chores to get caught up on. I edited some pictures, made dinner for a girlfriend recovering from back surgery, and even scrapped a page.

I did my shopping early in the am and then spent most of saturday outside at stores in alternating rain that went from a bronchitis inducing mist to absolute down pours! I did manage two chats and Sunday I took a 2 hour nap! No scrapping all weekend but that made my eyes happy.
