Technique Slow Scrap | 02.22.2017 INSTRUCTIONS

Seeing other sketches I think I made mine too harsh. I'll try doing it differently next time.

Thanks for the directions and a fun SS. I tried the first tutorial. Here's mine:

thanks for the nudge to use this technique again - i went with a people photo during MOC so i went with an architecture pic this time - i was a bit creative with adding the colour back, it was kinda flat looking (bland white cloud sky pretty much and the colour from people's clothes in the foreground detracted from the relief sculpture detail i wanted to highlight so i used on of Lynn G's papers behind it some extra paint from her template over the top

Unfortunately, I did not have my work done in time to join the chat : ( But I LOVE the sketch technique, and was so happy to revisit it. I made another page for my Canada 150 scrapbook. I feel as though many of you are probably bored of my excitement over Canada's 150th birthday (my family, and most of my friends are). The picture is this epic postcard shot I got of the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City last summer. It is one of the historic CP Rail hotels. I've never stayed there, but I have stayed at the ones in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.

Nice to revisit this challenge! Sorry I missed the chat - got busy cleaning and forgot completely! I wasn't sure this big photo would change enough since there was not a lot of color, so after I created the sketch version, I blended it with one of the background papers in the kit. There is a very subtle star pattern blended into the main photo. I like the result.

I never got around to doing this challenge during MOC so thanks for the revisit! Another castle...

Well, nothing like finding the Slow Scrap at 3 a.m. in the morning on the 23rd! Better late than never!! :agree
What better to do when you can't sleep than do a layout!!
I am doing a book on the history of the town I grew up in and this layout is for that book. I followed the PSE instructions. This was my favorite MOC challenge!!!

I started this during MOC and never finished it. This is a family history page. My something great grandfather started out in St. Helier's. The insets are his homes. (His picture is peeking out near the clock.) The large picture of St. Helier's and the map inset are from the internet.
