Tomorrow and Sunday are tax-free days for buying clothing and other back-to-school things. Since I don't have kids in school (YES!), I do get to take advantage of the no sales tax on clothing! Guess I'm going to have to do a little 'back-to-school' shopping this weekend.

Does anyone else around the country get a Tax-Free weekend?

Kansas doesn't have it, but Missouri does. It's this weekend too. We're definitely heading over there for some shopping!

It's August 17-19 this year here in Texas. I hate the crowds, but when you combine it with the sales, the deals can be really great, so we'll probably go fight it out to get some clothes for the kids. They just keep growing so darn fast!!

Alas my state does not have one. We did take advantage of this when living in FL though. It can be really helpful especially with sale offers too!

Ours is this weekend too, but it's a little late since we start school Monday! Our back to school shopping is long since done. Oh well. LOL

We do and it's one of the weekends I refuse to go to the stores LOL. I would much rather pay the tax than fight the mean crowds LOL.

we dont have tax free anything they tax us on our wages tax us on our savings tax us on our shopping then tax us on our pension, enough said on the tax man lol

There are so many rules related to it in Florida. Dollar limits, types of things you can buy...

Surprisingly, we have it here in Alabama. All of the cities don't waive their tax, so people still end up paying some tax for their items unless they are willing to go elsewhere.

Our tax-free weekend is tomorrow and Sunday, and I kind of love the shopping excitement even though I don't have plans to take advantage of anything this time.

Huh, I've never heard of this. I just did the back to school shopping today on my lunch break. Went in to Old Navy and bought four pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of khakis for each boy and walked back out. Done. :) I love their $10 jeans sale!

is it everything? i only ever hear the commercials for the furniture stores ^__^

As far as I know, it's everything but no single item can be more than $2500 I believe. Here's some info
