Day 1 - Blind Scrap Challenge

This is my beautiful daughter and her boyfriend at my son's house for New Year's Eve! I was up anyway and she sent me some pictures so I decided to scrap it for the MOC challenge!

Day 6 - ALL ABOUT

Well I did it. I did a combo of journaling and a list. To explain: My daughter has worked in retail for 4+ years and as anyone knows hours are not that great. Even being a specialist/manager....she loves the company she works for but they just can't give her the right hours etc. My youngest son is an asst. manager for a property management company that leases upscale/high end apartments. He is moving to a new property and his old leasing agent job was open. She applied in December and they were so impressed with her she had multiple interviews and got the call 1/5 that she got the job! SHE is excited. A real - stable job. 40 hours a week, great pay, benefits. AND she will get bonus' on top of her base salary. This was her dream for a better job (so she can move into a better apt, get a better car too) and she did it! Her years in retail actually helped her!

So I wanted to capture her 'things to do' in the next 2 weeks....

Day 7 - ScrapTherapy

I chose to scrap about my daughter, Shelby. A year ago she broke up with her boyfriend who turned out to be bordering on sociapathic and did a real mental job on her to the point she had low self esteem, zero trust in herself, others etc. He mentally tortured her and played her.

After months of therapy she is stronger and a better person and in a great relationship with a guy who treats her like a princess.

I cropped, and then used Coffeeshop Aphrodite BW action.

Andy (Carrie), Matt (Kevin) and Shelby (Joven) are my children (ages 26,24, 20 1/2)
Alex & Nicky are my youngest brother's kids (ages 13 & 10)
Zachary is my middle brother's son (age 8)

Perfect timing as I was needing to make the cover for my son's book!

Day 14 - Quickpage Embellishment

Here is mine! That was fun.
I rotated it a different direction & cut out the leaf that was on the QP so it would overlap the border.

CU burlap blooms by CC and green small leaf
JustJaimee - Storyteller Hunter - rest of elements (journal card, envelope, word art, brackets, flair, borders, paint arrows, cork hearts, wood arrows, wood pointer, vine that is between envelope and journal card but I added a kraft paper style to it). I also changed the color of the word art and painted arrow to better coordinate with the page.

This is me after I got bangs in Oct. 2014 (first time having bangs in over 10 years).

Day 15 - Puppet Warp Challenge

Well I don't have PS so no puppet warp for me. But since I use PSE11 - I went with the alternative option - and CLIPPED the paper clip to the photo and journal card using the layering/eraser method.

Day 16 - Do Over Challenge

I found it too cluttered and looked old fashioned - plus my scrapping style has changed.

Day 17 - Scrap A List

FUN! Here is my page.
More 'lists' on Shelby getting prepared to start her new job - this time I crossed things out as they got done...and I chose a font that was similar to her handwriting and slanted it so it's not perfect on the list (just like she makes lists)

Day 18 - Telling a Story through Pictures

Here is mine! That was hard as I also tend to take the photo close up - drives my hubby nuts...he thinks the backgrounds tell more to the story (sometimes).

Anyway, I chose a photo that my daughter had done of her and her dog, Bruno.

Credits:
FJ Unwritten - I cut the corner off the black frame to make photo corners for the large photo.
Also turned the 'tape' into a label for journaling.

I kept it simple and let the photos shine.

Day 19 - Freestyle (Clustered)
That was fun...hard to get started but then it flowed..I actually had to stop.

This is my son's office at his new property. He was promoted to Assistant Property Manager and moved to a different property (right by my house) and my daughter Shelby actually got his leasing agent job at the property he was at (downtown). So they both work for the same management company now!

Day 20 - Point and Shoot

Well I like sock photos so much and I love my comfy socks today so I took a SOCK Selfie!

1. iPhone6 camera
2. Used Flash on camera
3. Used Big Lens LOMO1 filter
4. Used another action in PS to edit a bit more
5. Had Fun.

I love these socks as Shelby got them for me - they are so comfy. I chose to go red/black/white cause the chair was RED - doesn't really go with the socks but oh well. I had fun.
