If anything MOC has proven to me that I need to take a) more photos and b) different types of photos. I am on my own 75% or more of the day it feels like and I don't do a whole lot outside of spending time online at the moment so really struggle to take photos even though I have my phone on me all the time. Anyone have any suggestions? I do want to do project life though lack of photos has stalled me in previous attempts but I'll start that probably in Feb or once I have a job as I think my life will become more interesting then.

I have been using an app Little Moments by Fat Mum Slim that gives you prompts and I look for something that fits that. The key in my opinion is to get out and look for some interesting things -- things you think are interesting.

I was walking and saw this old semi truck with weeds grown up through it and I took a photo. Posted the photo online and actually had someone buy it from me.

Just look for fun & interesting shots.

I aim to take a photo everyday. Of something.
There are days where my photo was my water bottle, which is cool to look back on because I like purple water bottles, but the style has changed over the years!
Or old computers from years past. Or the sky. I find as I search for a photo, I find things that catch my eye - a pile of library books, my nut mix, a reflection of the sunlight on the floor.

I am trying to take a photo a day from prompts I found on FATMUMSLIM website but using a list from 2012 and picking one theme from the week and use that for the whole week. This week I am doing "sky" so I can photograph different viewpoints of the sky. Monday I looked up through the clothes line full of washing into the sky to take my photo so that represents that Monday I did the washing. It fun to do it this way and it is still telling the story of my week.

I agree with Courtney. Just look around where you are---inside or outside. There is always something interesting, even if it's your cup of coffee.

Believe me, I really don't have that interesting of a life but I have done the photo a day in the past and have started it again this year. Some days are boring, some days aren't. So far this week... Snow, Peyton (my dog), gas prices, Peyton, Wal-Mart parking lot (more cars than usual for a Thursday morning). It has been a boring week and will probably end the same way it started since we are getting snow on Friday night/Saturday morning.

I like @A-M's view of looking at things differently. I would have never thought of taking a picture of the sky through laundry hanging on the line! I will try to think outside the box for my pictures.

It's okay to include photoless pages as part of documenting your life. It works well with Project Life as you can use journaling cards for some days instead of photos and you don't have to dedicate a whole page to each day. Maybe include your menu plan for the day, or a recipe you are cooking, a thought, a conversation ...

This is so true! I'm a big photo taker, but often a text conversation or a screenshot from Watch Cheryl Scrap or another website or on my phone is a better part of the story than a photo.

I use a lot of non-photo stuff for my PL. If we watch a TV show or a movie, I'll go to their Facebook page and download an image to use on my PL pages. You could always include current event stuff on your pages too and find photos online. Oh... I also do screen shots of emails and/or text conversations to add to my pages too!

HOsting the 20 photo challenge has open my eyes to what people take photos of, and I love it.
There is one scrapper, who loves windows and doors...she is always on the look for different kinds...and then seeing them all together on one page was awesome.
Another, loves to snap shots of street signs, shop signs that catch her eye.

There were numerous flower, and or bird lovers that spend time on the just exact photo of flower/bird, and it is a collection, not just a photograph. I loved their enthusiasm.

Food, clouds, shadows and so much more are out there, see what makes you go, oh wow that is cool, snap it, and jsut keep snapping..yeah digital!

In addition to the great ideas above, I like to photograph my routines and "current state of my ______ " (desk, family room, whatever). I have photographed a lot of my meals; probably my favorite routine to photograph. I take photos on my daily walks too. For the "current state of my _____ " photos, I like comparing them from different years to see how things change.
