Its so stupid they didnt help. That is just awful.
I dont know anything about the ankle surgery stuff. But just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery. and I would go to the Dr. to make sure you dont have infection too.
 
I echo everyone who is shocked by the purposeful lack of response from medical professionals. So glad you're (somewhat) OK. I'm sending strong, healing vibes your way.
 
What a bunch of jerks for not helping you! Thoughts for you on a speedy recovery!
 
I am so sorry. that just stinks!!

I don't have any experience with broken bones, but just wanted to say I am sorry and sending thoughts for quickly healing bones!
 
What an awful experience! I hope the fever is gone now, and that the rest of your recovery goes as smoothly as possible!
 
oh no. I hope you recover quickly. I can't believe the dr.'s office didn't come to help you. That's just horrible.
 
Thanks so much everyone for the positive thoughts. I am feeling better finally today.

The surgeon sent me to check for a clot and it was negative. I do have an infection though so am on Bactrim antibiotics for 7 days. Fever just broke last night. whew!

Kim - thanks for the recommendation on the scooter. :) The surgeon had actually prescribed one for me to try. My husband went and rented it for the month. It was actually pretty painful, but I think that is just because I am weak from the surgery and the infection. Hopefully that will improve each day. Anything has got to be better than my pretty walker....and I am so not coordinated enough for crutches - I'd break my other ankle! LOL!
 
So glad you're fever broke and the checked you for a clot and infection, hoping the antibiotics kick in quickly!!! Praying for a speedy recovery and for you to find a comfortable way to get around!
 
I am so mad at that stupid drs office! How can it be more of a liability to help someone than to just let them sit there in agony??? What a joke. grrr....

I hope you get better SUPER fast! xo
