I am from the Philadelphia area, and we are super excited that the Eagles will play in the Superbowl!

For the past several Superbowls I have made chicken wings in the air fryer. This year I'd like to step it up.

Do you make anything special for the Superbowl? (it's just 4 of us, not a big party)

I am not for from you Laura, but I am not an Eagles fan! lol! I am going to root for them though! (I'm a 49ers fan!)
We usually have or end up going to a Superbowl party, and we all take the day off after! Mostly, it's just a relaxing day.

I like making Sausage Stars, Hot Dog Weenies, Elote Dip, and DH will usually smoke and make pulled pork!
Sausage Stars are really easy and not a big time taker. (I use Jimmy Dean Pre-Cooked Sausage crumbles - they have turkey too)

@jk703 I had to look up elote dip and it has me intrigued. When I ease up on the low carb meals in a few months I want to give this a try. It sounds good for a buddah bowl or taco topper.

It's so yummy. And you can find roasted corn in the freezer section now, so it cuts down on the timing too, and improves the flavor. Depending on how you make it, you could serve it both warm and cold.

I don't watch sports but for any gatherings I often make meatballs, a simple recipe of grape jelly, Heinz's chili sauce and mustard, cooked in the crockpot.

I like dips. A simple one I make is cottage cheese, lots of taco powder mix, a bit of salsa and shredded cheese, served in shot glasses or small dip bowls with pretzels and tortilla chips.

I like mini hot dogs in pastry and sausage rolls but buy them, not make them myself.

I wish we sold that. Canada always has much less variety and unfortunately I think that is going to get worse with the tariffs and price hikes of everything that is coming. I wish we lived close to the border like we used to. It is so far away that I am probably never going to be able to get groceries anymore from the US. I sure miss the price and variety, that's for sure.

We don't really "do" Superbowl anymore but growing up we did and, being from Wisconsin, beer cheese dip was always on the menu!

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!! LOL the Eagles are my team! I was so hoping for a Bills/Eagles super bowl, but oh well. I do love Coach Reid so I guess it's ok to play the Chiefs.
Every year we make chicken taquitos and homemade queso dip! This is the queso recipe I use, it's so good:

Maybe try a slider bar for exampke a pulled pork, cheesesteak sliders (perfect for Philly), or even veggie ones. Easy to prep and fun to customize

Fly, Eagles, Fly!! Another Eagles fan here! Like @Lynnette I was hoping for an Eagles/Bills Superbowl, but I also kind of want a shot at beating the Chiefs this time. I also really like Andy Reid.
Anyway...my go-tos are Buffalo Chicken Dip, little weenies in an apple jelly/mustard sauce, and ham/cheese sliders.

We'll be going over to a friend's house to watch the superbowl and I'm planning on making something... just not sure yet. I was thinking meatballs. I'm the worst at planning ahead for making these kind of snacks.

We were totally routing for the Lions, so I'm really sad that they didn't make it to the Superbowl this year. But I think the Eagle v Chiefs matchup will be fun again especially since I'm not really invested in either team.

ETA: I can just focus on the commercials. :giggle

For dinner at times, I make a french onion meatball dish, that's yummy! We have a Derby party every year... and we order (cause we can't make them that day) garlic knot meatball parm minis. So good!

I'm not rooting for either team. I wanted a Lions/Bills game. I can't get behind Mahomes, ugh. He and his family annoy me... and I'm over Taylor/Kelce - just let them be happy and leave them alone! Then, I can't get behind Eagles only cause (NOT ALL OF THEM) the fans are a little much and I don't want that outcome. I do hope Barkley and Hurts have great games! I'm such a mix, lol!

It'll be just me at my SuperBowl watch party, so who knows what I'll be eating, but back when I did go to SuperBowl parties, I always made sure to have Jelly Bellys in each teams' colors. I was thinking it might be tough with the Eagles! That teal green is unique...but hey, I just looked up the official flavors and you could do the Jalapeno and Vanilla for Philadelphia and Lemon and Very Cherry for the Chiefs!

DH usually makes his loaded nachos which everyone loves. But this year my son's junior football team scheduled a team event for during the superbowl, so we probably won't have anything special. I can't believe they booked a team event for the same time as the superbowl, so frustrated. I will probably watch the game on my own.

Jenn, Trader Joe's also has fire roasted frozen corn. I also bought a can of Del Monte fire roasted corn a few days ago. The trouble is, it's "seasoned". Has garlic powder and onion powder and nutritional yeast in it. Not the end of the world, but probably not good for your recipe. And jalepeno jelly beans are AWESOME! Sweet and hot! OMG! So good!

I always make quiche for Super Bowl. It stems from when we were first married. Here this boy who bent over backwards keeping me happy when we were dating all of a sudden turned into a domineering husband! I couldn't believe how much he changed in the 5 minutes it took to say "I do". Three months after the fact, he started bossing me around about making special food for Super Bowl. We were both working, same hours (or maybe I worked a little longer with a longer commute) and I came from a family of girls - we didn't know anything about the Super Bowl! And since I came form a family of girls, didn't care who won or lost, didn't want to even watch the game, I decided to make quiche - because at the time a book was out, Real Men Don't Eat Quiche. It had ham and cheese - and I made my point. I told him to think of it as egg pizza. :) Disgruntled is how I would describe him that first year but the quiche was wonderful, homemade and delicious.

Now I still make it, and we've been married 45 years. Today I asked him who is playing and what their colors are so I can get doilies to match. (kidding him). But we will probably also get chicken wings. Low carb, but chips and salsa.
