It hit 85 degrees today and I hate the heat. And I don't even believe I'm going to say this but I thin I prefer the winter to the summer. I would rather take the snow. I can always put more clothes on, but you can only take so many off before it's a crime. So which do you prefer? Summer or Winter?
Between those two choices....winter. I don't physically cope well with Summer but I'm not exactly a fan of wet Winters either.
It definitely depends on where you live! It never gets too hot in my region, so I love the summer. I especially love the longer days and getting to spend more time outdoors. My dream would be to live somewhere where it's 80F year-round!
Summer without a doubt! I hate bundling up, I hate being cold. I don't want to move when it's cold. I can find lots of ways to cool off if I get too hot I'm like @SeattleSheri, I'd love to live somewhere that was around 80 all year long!
I prefer summer, because I can get to garden. I have two terraced flower beds that I am constantly fighting with crabgrass, but once I clear them, I get to plant more perennials! That's what I am doing this weekend actually - working on getting rid of the crabgrass so I can plant the latest purchases from the local garden center! Our winters are too cold. We usually have a period of time where it is below -30C and that is just too darn cold to do much of anything! And at -30C and below, you end up wrapped in so many layers, it is hard to move, lol!
I live where it's pretty much always summer so it's all I know. On the two occasions I've visited my husband's family during the winter, I had to borrow a coat from someone. It's too hot here but I at least know what to do with it. And you don't have to shovel sunshine...
Like @SeattleSheri it's pretty mild here in the summer, so I'm going to pick summer just for the weather. I like winter for the coziness, though. I sort of feel guilty in the summer if I don't get outside some. But I'd rather be inside! LOL
I get all four seasons, and I really do love them all but I will pick summer over winter. I am perpetually cold from October to April, I much prefer being comfortable or even too hot to being cold all the time.
Our winters are pretty mild here and our summers are beastly hot, so I'll pick winter as that is the part of the year it is more comfortable for doing stuff outside. I love the sunshine, but when it's 110 F for days on end, it gets pretty unbearable in the summer. So, mild winter it is for me. I've actually never lived in a truly cold, snowy winter place as I detest the cold. But, if I did, I'd probably choose summer instead.
This! Winters are mild here, but summers are awful with constant heatwaves. We pay more for a/c in summer than heat in winter.
Well, that answer used to be a resounding "SUMMER", but I'm getting to be a baby about the hottest days of summer as I age. Lol. I still do love the pace of summer though. Not as many of the activities to fit in and more free time, plus my hubby and I love to ride our bikes around our beach town in the summer and get outside more. But, I sure do love cozy hoodie weather too... So I guess I just like each season and the things that come with them and that they don't stay permanently.
I prefer summer but only b/c I don't like the extreme cold we get here. Thank goodness chinooks come thru and the weather warms up off and on throughout the winter so those really cold days get a break before I go nuts. I hate the extreme heat too so I like our summers here b/c it doesn't get as hot, or for as long, as when we lived in BC.
I too love the changing seasons, but I am also cold from October to April, and find it easier to cool down in the summer vs. trying to warm up in the winter.
Definitely summer for me, even though our summers can get very hot. As long as I can get cooled off in the lake or a pool, I'm happy. I really detest winter these days and feel the cold much more now. The short dark winter days really get too me too. I'd love to convince hubby to go away for a couple of months somewhere that's about 70-80 all the time.
We get 4 seasons and I love the changes of each, but I prefer too cold to too hot. It's been milder summers lately (knock on wood for this one) so right now I'd say summer, but if we get a hot one then I'd change to winter LOL
