potato salad...I almost never eat that in the colder months. I also love macaroni salad and will eat that all year round but for some reason, potato salad for me is just a summer thing.

A favorite summer salad or side dish?
I love a fruity salad in the summer, watermelon chunks, orange slices, pomegranate seeds...mixed in with greens and veggies with a light dressing.

A childhood fave that you still enjoy?
hotdog on a soft white bun...yum! I don't often indulge in that but when I do...it's like heaven. Too bad the things we love the most are sooooo bad for us LOL

we eat seasonal so our diet changes through the year. My favourite on the summer menu is strawberries for fruit and rocket for my greens.

I love salads in summer, fruit salad and Pavlova. Winter is for casseroles and soups.

Ice cream: I used to enjoy it year 'round when I was young, but now I only like it when the weather is hot.
Also, I like salads more in the warmer half of the year. In the winter, I prefer soups/stews/chili.

Is there anything you enjoy eating more in the warm weather months? We live in an area with lots of orchards so we eat a lot of fruit in the summer. Strawberries right now, then cherries will be soon. After that peaches and nectarines.
A favorite summer salad or side dish? Greek salad or corn on the cob.
A childhood fave that you still enjoy? Corn for sure.

I am also team fresh corn. I may grumble about the clean-up after I inevitably get corn silk everywhere but there's just nothing like it.

Strawberry season this far south is late winter/early spring but my mom will keep buying them as long as they're on sale at the grocery store. My brother is all about the peaches right now.

Is there anything you enjoy eating more in the warm weather months? Ice cream for sure. There's also a "salad" I love to make that has corn, tomato, avocado, black beans and romaine lettuce in it that is perfect for hot days. Sometimes I add a bit of rotisserie chicken too, but usually I like it just the veggies.

A favorite summer salad or side dish? When I go to potluck/picnic/BBQs I always bring the same thing... I called it bean bake. It has baked bean, kidney beans and butter beans, plus bacon and ground turkey. It's always a big crowd pleaser.

A childhood fave that you still enjoy? Probably a good grilled (slightly charred) hot dog on the grill.

OH! I forgot about strawberry pie! I haven't made one yet this year! Must remedy that while the local strawberries are in season!
