Summer "Bucket List" ...fill 'er up!

I am going to attempt to have an activity schedule this summer: Make Something Monday (crafts), Teaching Tuesday (trip to the library + kindergarten readiness worksheets), What's Cookin' Wednesday, Be Thoughtful Thursday (service projects), & Field Trip Friday. I want to be sure I don't get sucked into the newborn vortex of being a hermit all the time and really enjoy my last summer with DD before she starts school fulltime.

I *love* to plan ahead, so I already have ideas and supply lists for EASY and inexpensive things to do to fit those themes.

My Field Trip Friday list, which I think is the 'bucket list' you're looking for, includes backyard camping/stargazing, picnic at the park, trip to the beach/lake, spray park, zoo, mini golf, bowling, minor league baseball game, pick-your-own fruit/veggies, family bike ride/hike, drive-in movie theater, trip to Grandma's & Grandpa's, children's museum, & the state fair.

I love the idea of having a different theme for each day. Sometimes I find summer to be NEVER ENDING and each day seems the same. Definitely takes some intentional planning!

Melissa, there are lots of blog posts by various moms abt that same type of summer schedule, so you can always Google for more ideas. :)

What if you make a scrap page or a physical list and hang it on your fridge. I made this one a few years ago and my boys loved looking at it for idea. :) We didn't do all of it but it was still fun to look at and see everything we had done. :)

This is such a great idea!

This is the one we made last summer that my daughter claims we didn't do anything from ;). :

I am so glad many of you are doing something similar - so excited for a fun summer (which starts in less than a week here!)

My DS is two and half and a book lover so one thing I will be adding to my list is getting him his very own library card

Mine so far:

- visit the Rostock zoo
- travel to Copenhagen
- go to the Marlowe vogelpark
- teach Nathan to ride the bike
- watch a FREAKING SUNRISE on the beach (I've wanted to do that for five years now and never manage to get up early enough...)
- finish a few writing projects
- scrap all the Mentalist-pics I collected (but only if tonight's episode ends as I want it to ;)!)
