I admit, the other day I bought some Sam Adams Summer Ales. They were incredibly tasty!

I tend to like the seasonal beers and ales and look forward to a change in season which brings new flavors.

So my question for the day is, do you have a favorite summer beverage? Something different that you may normally drink?

My go to beverages are always water, coffee, and milk. I've been drinking more tea lately - non sweetened, no caffeine. But those are not summer things. The beer was special and tasty and to celebrate summer.

So, how about you? Got any special summer brews?

My go to beverage is always water, but I do like to splurge on flavored lemonades and limeades in the summer.

I am intrigued! That sounds yummy!

P.S. Ever since you mentioned mango in salsa, I've been adding mango to my salsa!!!

Me too! I feel funny if I don't drink enough water.

I'm normally drinking water and Diet Pepsi. I also like having a spritzer that I make with Canada Dry Diet Ginger Ale and Welch's white grape juice. It's super refreshing.

My favorite special drink is a Malibu Bay Breeze. We don't have a Trader Joe's near us, but my sister often travels to the Tallahassee in Florida and buys their fresh pineapple juice. I haven't had one in a long time, but now I'm wanting to make one! I actually make mine with equal parts pineapple juice and Malibu Bay Coconut Rum, and then a splash of cranberry juice (instead of three equal parts). It's not as pretty as you'll see in the video below, but it's super yummy. I just find the cranberry juice can be overpowering.

I've definitely been about a mojito lately, but that started in the spring haha.
I've been trying a lot of different sugar-free drinks, and the Ice Sparkling Water Black Raspberry is delish! Also Bai Clementine, Gatorade Zeros, Body Armour Peach Mango...

Mmmmm....my taste buds are watering! I have a feeling Malibu Rum is going to end up in my shopping cart next week. I am a cranberry juice fan (I like the tart! all nice and puckery lol!) so I'm inclined to try the equal parts. This is such a nice summery drink vibe! The hubs does not drink alcohol (I think he has a deficient alcohol dehydrogenase gene as he reacts badly to alcohol) and I can see how a splash of carbonated soda or maybe even a homemade cream can make a non-alcohol version. :P

Yes! I do get bored with plain water come evening time. It's nice to have a splash of flavor with dinner. Something like that Black Raspberry - yum!

Water and Pepsi are my normal choices. In the summer I’ll sometimes have lemonade, strawberry-lemonade or limeade. I never drank much alcohol and haven’t had any in years.

My summer drink when socializing is a vodka cooler, low carb brand, usually pyure or nutrl. I like berry or citrus blends. I always ask if they have gotten in a limited release summer flavor. This year nothing new came in but I'll be checking again in a few wks. With shipping and stocking issues here, you can't rely on things being normal.

I mostly drink water or make sparkling water in my SodaStream. Life dealt me both rosacea and reflux so in the past year, I stopped trying to fight it and just gave up alcohol entirely. My favorite summer "mocktail" kind of drink is this cranberry/fruit sangria: https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a30122958/virgin-cranberry-basil-sangria-recipe/ The ingredient that makes it more complex and balanced like a cocktail (and not just "juice") is basil which sounds a little odd but works really well.

Water and Bubly sparkling Grapefruit and Pineapple are my go to drinks. I also enjoy the light summer fruity seasonal beers, white wine and the occasional G&T.

I like iced tea with lemon and just lightly sweetened in the summer. I make decaf so I can drink it a little later in the day. I don't care much for beer, but I like a good pale ale or a light, dry rose wine in the summer. Sparkling water with lime (lemon in a pinch) for something different from just plain water.

I totally get it! Fresh mint is a nice treat too! Unfortunately, my basil did not take off this year. We originally thought 3 days of freeze in early spring knocked everything back....but the kale suffered too (and thats a cold tolerant plant). We are now thinking the soil was very poor (and it was not a cheap brand either).

Anyways - I LOVE fresh herbs in beverages, basil is a wonderful choice - and it comes in different variants like lemon basil - so fragrant and yummy!

I think you could absolutely try coconut flavoring. I also use Coconut Creme Creamer by Coffeemate and that would make a wonderfully creamy drink.

Water, Tea (like morning), Iced Tea (Raspberry, no sugar, no caffeine) and Diet Wild Cherry. I have less soda than I used to so I switched to the Raspberry Tea.

For a summer cocktail, I like Diet/Captain, High Noons and then I copied a drink from a restaurant called My New Girlfriend, lol! (It's Watermelon Juice, White Tequila, Cointreau, Lime and Tahin around the rim. So refreshing and light. You can exchange the tequila for vodka or a white rum. For a Mocktail, I've take out the Tequila and Cointreau and just add a smidge of seltzer and a little more lime. It changes it a little, but still light and refreshing.

A good friend of mine makes sangria and has it on tap in the summer and it's so yummy! That feels like a definite summer drink with a bit of fresh fruit throw in the glass with ice. :agree
