Starting DYD in November, anyone?

My family traditionally begins the Christmas Season the day after Thanksgiving. It's when the Christmas tree and other decorations go up around the house and the month-long process of baking begins. So, I'm thinking of starting my DYD album on November 27. Has anyone else done this? I'm just curious, that's all.

I put in whatever Christmas things that happen in November in my book and then officially start my daily project on December first. Our tree usually goes up Thanksgiving weekend, so that usually is what starts my DYD book, but I don't worry about finding more to document until December hits.

I'm going to this year for the first time. I've never thought to document the card making and giftbox/bag making process before and those all start now. Earlier most years but I'm a bit behind this year. The children also start school Christmas gift making around now too.

@Angela Toucan - let me know your ideas! I'd love to hear them.

I'm also thinking to use the November things as filler on those days when I can't think of a thing. For example, I donated a gift to Toys for Tots at the Disney Store the other day, and I have a photo of the Marine's stationed in front of the store holding the gift. We'll see what I actually do!

Yes, my Countdown to Christmas album always starts the weekend after Thanksgiving when we decorate my parents' house for the season. It runs until we celebrate Christmas with my family (which is usually Christmas Day but is the 27th this year).

The reason I call it Countdown to Christmas is because it includes part of November every year.
