Spring Break | Pad Patter 3.25.16.

I don't remember doing anything fun for any spring break but one. Disneyworld, when I was 10ish.

Now, I just like spring break for the drama on a radio show they do here. "Spring Break Bust", where parents or friends ask the radio show to call their spring breaker and check up on them. College kids out of control, and their unsuspecting parents being horribly shocked at their misbehavior. It is totally trashy, but as I can only hear it for 2 weeks put of the year....

We actually just returned from our Spring break vacation. We went to Portland, took in a Timbers match, a Blazers game, went to the zoo, watched the airplanes take off and land at the airport, wandered around the city, went shopping, ate at the food carts, did lots of swimming and just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. It was loads of fun! Rainy, but fun :) Our oldest son went to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and down to Texas with my mom. He visited the Alamo, the river walk, NASA Space Center, and TONS of family lol He should be getting back home tomorrow. We've missed him!

I'm retired, so it is always spring break for me. The Grand-kids are on break next week and we plan to take them up to the Skagit Tulip Festival which is great fun and also a great place to get fun photos.

We took our spring break this week. We mostly relaxed and didn't do much of anything (although I did get some little chores done around the house that I'd been putting off). Then Thursday and Friday my hubby took some time off work and we took the kids to Dollywood. We got season passes for a Christmas present this year. It was a nice little mini-vacay. Usually our vacations consist of visiting family in FL, which isn't too bad, but we rarely just get our own family time. I loved it...even if it was just one night in a hotel and a day at Dollywood. We all had a blast.

I've had things I need to do, and DH was working until Thursday, so even though the girls have been on break, it's not been terribly exciting stuff. They do enjoy the time "off" and we've been out for things like movies and such. Friday, we went to an amusement park and watched a kids' concert.

My son has been home this week, he goes back to college tonight. My daughter starts hers the first week of April. Nothing special going on here ...

My poor kids have been sick this week during their spring break. But at least they didn't have to miss any school. I'm glad we didn't make plans.
