I know Jen was talking about favorite college football teams in another thread, but do you have other sports that you watch? NFL? Tennis? Basketball? Golf? Olympic sports only? Bowling? Poker? :giggle

Or are there sports you watch in person and don't watch any on tv? Or don't like sports at all?

We are watching the Seahawks play at the moment, but don't really watch any other sports.

I don't watch any on TV unless as a group. Sometimes Denmark is doing particularly well in some international whatever, usually in handball, and people get together to watch. It's more about being with people than watching for me, though. It's been a long time, but I do like hockey and baseball in person. There's even a good hockey team in my town but getting tickets hasn't been a priority.

I don't watch any sports. BUT I do watch Wimledon every year. No idea why. Just something about tennis that is watchable. Mmmmm maybe has something to do with the not unattractive male tennis stars:giggle

LOL. I can see that. :) Every once in awhile, I see one of those good looking young football players and have to keep myself in check so my hubby doesn't get jealous. LOL. We went to a baseball game last month and we were sitting in the front row of our section. A GORGEOUS baseball scout-type guy stopped to talk to us (because Kennedy was being very social to everyone passing). He left and my daughter and I gave each other *the look* that told us we agreed he was way more interesting to look at than the game.

We watch oodles of sport in our house.
With two elite athletes it's pretty much unavoidable. We watch lots of football (soccer). Their games, their senior team games. The Hyundai a-league Roar ladies and men. We also watch on tv. The English Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Cup, World Cup's, Asia Cups...
On top of that we also are Rugby fans and watch as many games as we can and Rugby League fans too.
Next is the USA college football. We try to keep abreast of the AK Razorbacks and now with 'The Hayne Train' doing so well the boys are watching the 49ers too.

But never tennis lol.

NFL football! Hubby is a Cowboys fan and I am an Eagles fan, so things get interesting around here during football season :) It's really the only time of year I watch any tv at all.

I watch enough of my boys soccer and basketball games to tide me over for a lifetime. I don't watch any on TV anymore.

I used to watch football and in college I loved going to the football games and also hockey games. I had a student pass so I was able to go to almost every game and we had a huge group that went together, so it was really fun.

I watch baseball--->Go Blue Jays!!!! Of course hockey---->Go Habs!!!

Come Boxing Day I am glued to my TV when the World Junior Hockey Tournament takes place and I love the Winter Olympics, pretty much all the sports except Cross Country Skiing. Summer Olympics it's the swimming and track and field events that are my faves.

I have renewed my love for watching sports over the last year or so. In particular, I seem to really enjoy things when there is a championship on the line-- World Cup, NBA Finals, World Series, March Madness, the Grand Slams, and of course the Olympics. I love watching the US Open every year (sad that Federer didn't win last night). The only sport that I really don't get into is football. My husband is not a fan of watching sports, so I don't think that this renewal of interest on my part is all that exciting for him, but what can I do?!

And when my boys play soccer and basketball, I really do love to watch them!

I will never turn on my tv just to watch sports. Well unless it's some big importang game like the Olympics or something.
I don't really watch sports, but if womans speed skating is on I will keep watching.
If it's something pretty like gymnastics or synchronized swimming or even springboard diving I will watch it as kind of a background noise/view. The same goes with winter sports like figure skating, snowboarding, free style skiing, half pipe boarding, etc.

:crazy Okay, I am the odd ball for so many reasons.

I dislike baseball, but enjoy that we have season tickets to the minor league here - GO WAhoos! (Reds minor team) and have tons of fun when we GO to a game. Otherwise...no.

I LOVE football :clap college and pro Roll Tide and Go Pack!!! Have been to games and to the stadiums just to hang out because I love them...and hug them...and call them George. True story.

I dislike basketball so much I will turn the tv off. Why? Because I am weird aaaannnnnd it drives me crazy to hear their squeaky shoes...squeak squeak squeakety squeak.

Seriously. That is pretty much the reason why. :gun

Golf, watching paint dry. Same thing. :whoopdedoo

Most other sports, I cheer on if I am at a sports bar, game or whatever, but I do not pay attention otherwise.

I pretty much could have just said football. :blahblahbwhahahahaha!

I love Aussie rules!! My team, the mighty Hawks, has won the last two years and still in the run for this year. Am completely addicted to it and have been since I was 4. I don't mind tennis, soccer is good, cricket - sometimes love it, other times just don't care. Also love the big ticket events - Olympics, Tour de France, World Cup etc.

Trouble with growing up in a house with 3 brothers...I'm sure that's one of the reasons my hubby married me, I could participate in an intelligent discussion of all things sport.

PS at the risk of offending people my most hated sport to watch is Baseball - just do not enjoy that at all and yep, I have suffered through attending a live game...

I watch NFL ~ Cowboys and then whatever else hubby wants to watch. I'm usually cross stitching or zentangling. LOL

I also watch college football. Alabama Football. And then I like to watch Auburn play . . . to lose! HA!

No other sports attract my attention. Unless it's the spelling bee they show on ESPN6 or something.

OMGosh... I can hear that squeaking now, LOL. Although I do like Pro basketball just b/c they are so dang fun to watch. Geez, the talent. That said, I wouldn't watch any sports (but college football) if my husband didn't have it on almost constantly... any sport... he "watches" football, basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, tennis. We don't watch Hockey, but that's b/c we are in the South and it's rarely on here.

Oh, and we don't ever watch Poker :rofl (but we have been known to catch the end of the Spelling Bee Cheryl, hehe)

My fave is watching my kids play, though... football, basketball, soccer (kind of glad we don't have a baseball player honestly). Well, the exception to that is Cross Country. Most.Boring.Spectator.Sport.Ever. :giggle But I'm there, cheering on my son as he enters then exits the trail, LOL.

I enjoy most sports. Perhaps because it was such a prominent facet of my backstory. Or maybe it's because my roots are in Chicago. And well..Chicagoans love their sports. I love love watching the Cubbies, Bears, Hawks and Bulls. But I also enjoy watching golf with my husband. It's not the most exciting sport in the world but it's become a shared activity for us. And it also makes for a good nap background if needs be. :giggle

I get especially gooped up at postseason time and for big sporting events like the Olympics. World Cup. And the like. Looooove love love.

I am NOT a sport watcher... on TV. I will go to any game in person, and watch out, I love it! This will include baseball, hockey (as close as possible), tennis, football, golf, racing... you name it. I'll go in person. (DH/Dad Yankees/Mom Mets, Devils, Nets, Giants, Soccer, etc) So much better than on the TV! When I was a kid, I remember going to so many different sporting events, it was a blast. I guess the TV didn't have that excitement.

My mom cannot understand how I can't really get into sports as much as she does. I don't have time for that, and it's mostly boring on the TV. (She is really into it... and runs sports pools for loads of events/games).

The Olympics are a whole different story. I love watching those for some reason!

Right now... I'm like Karen, kids soccer games right now. We just started our season! Yay!

I watch baseball - I am a Houston Astros fan. I had stopped watching for a few years (not for any particular reason) but this year have started watching again.
Hubby likes football but I don't really get into football. I do like that it keeps hubby busy and I can scrap guilt free. LOL!!

And I totally love watching the Olympics. Even my son - who hates sports - will watch parts.

I'm not a sports person. The only one I can tolerate watching is football. Everything else... YAWN.
