have you started shopping yet? once this week is over i need to kick it into high gear on that and birthday gifts/party for my younger son. i bought dh a charging station thing and a thing that plugs into the wall with a bunch of usb ports for charging.

I bought my first gift last week. And really only because I was at Costco and they happened to have a Lego set that one of my girls has asked for. I need to get on it though.

I'm doing albums from our Disney trip for my parents and sister - I really need to finish scrapping those pages!!

We started shopping this summer. We live in Chicago but spend Christmas morning in Michigan. We start early so we can take a few things to Michigan at a time instead of cramming it all in the car when we leave on Christmas break. My husband is going up this weekend so I did a bit of a push the past couple of weeks to get things bought. I've also been taking advantage of the Shutterfly "free" gift offers along the way and have a few photo gifts done that I just had to pay postage on.

I'm also doing an album of our trip this summer for my parents. I'm about 10 pages in and I've lost all motivation to work on it. I have GOT to get it finished though.

LaLaLaLaLa... my fingers are in my ears. My head is in the sand. LaLaLaLaLa...

I bought my first gift last weekend. :) I only bought it bc it was Teacher Appreciation week at Barnes & Noble, so I could get 25% off anything in the store. I got Luke this laser game he's been asking for for three years now. :)

This is me every year. I keep thinking that if I ignore it all the gifts will magically buy themselves... and they kind of do, since DH does 99% of our Christmas shopping. :giggle

Mostly this ;) but I did find two big lego sets on clearance with an extra 50% off at Walmart last month & stashed those away for ds. Dd is going to be the stumper - she is almost 11 and actually told me she didn't know that she needed anything... So at this point I am thinking a nice-r (she's a tomboy) purse & wallet with gift cards??

i haven't even bought darn halloween candy yet!

Well duh...that's good budgeting practice. If we buy it now, we'll have to buy it again the day before because they will get eaten otherwise! LOL!

I've started thinking about Christmas but haven't put anything in action yet. My budget is going to be much smaller this year.

Yep done all the big stuff just got to get the stocking fillers now and the extended family, did I mention I love Christmas

What was that? Sorry I had my head buried in the sand in da Nile and I couldn't hear you :giggle

Nope, I don't think about christmas until I finish university exams (in 8 days time)

We decided to spend the big bucks this year... all the kids are getting iPods and OtterBoxes. Oh, and a pair of pajamas. That is all. I'm tired of my devices being hijacked constantly! It's amazing how much more the middle boy reads when it's on a device vs. an actual book. Hubby and I bought new leather jackets, chaps, and vests. We're hoping to get a new motorcycle with the income tax return gets in (in the Spring).

I'm about halfway done! :circles

I do ALL of our Christmas shopping online, which makes it sooo much easier. So 50% is already ordered and received from Amazon. The next 40% will be a nice big order of hand painted ornaments from Bronners (bronners.com, seriously, so delicious). The remaining 10% are baked goods for gifts that obviously can't be made until just before Christmas.
