Sooooooo happy

If you were doing a backup what would you make sure you have backed up....I already have Backblaze on the case but I am going to do a 2nd backup manually before I hand it over to my friend to install the RAM (partly because Backblaze still has close to a week to do its initial backup thats gone on for ever and ever now)

  • Photos
  • Resume/Other Docs
  • Any style sets you've created in Photoshop
  • Any actions you've created in Photoshop
  • A list of favorite fonts (I always find I never install all the same ones, so I don't always back them all up, just capture the names)
  • Photos
  • Any open projects
  • Any Pages not printed yet, but ready for it
  • Digi Supplies
  • Photos
Can you tell what's most important to me? :love All the other stuff could be replaced, even if it was at a cost of time or money. But not my photos.

Thanks @bestcee it seems like when its time to back up, all logical thought processes of what you should do and under normal circumstances would remember evaporate (or at least in my case they do)

@littlekiwi Always!!!
If you have time, some of those are things I learned the hard way: like my actions and styles and resume!
I have fast internet, so I'm grateful to Backblaze now. But styles and actions are still easier to back up then reload!

If you have Word, then you need to backup your documents and templates, also if you are running financial software (Quicken, etc.) then make sure you have a current backup. Any fonts that can't be easily replaced ... I have a bunch of fonts that came with software over the years and aren't available to download for free. Do you use tax software ... if so, backup prior year tax returns.

Besides what has been mentioned by others I have a folder for program downloads. I make sure it is backed up as well. That's how I can still have Picasa on a computer even though it went away several years ago. It also includes the download file for Paint Shop Pro (several versions) so that I can install them if needed.

As for fonts, I just back up my whole fonts folder because like @Memaw2Wm I have fonts that were installed with programs years ago that are no longer available for free.
