Socks to bed? | Pad Patter 1.23.17

I don't like wearing socks to bed although I wear them around the house during cold months. If my feet are really dry, I'll slather them with moisturizer and wear socks over them in bed but I really don't like it!

I don't do barefoot... flip flops are the closest thing but only if it's too hot out. Socks are my deal usually;) and I love pretty patterned or cute ones! I wear them unless I get to hot overnight to keep them on.

I never sleep in socks. I produce quite a bit of heat when I sleep and always have. If I wore socks, I'd overheat! LOL

I'm in Florida, so I'm mostly always barefoot or in flip flops. Even when I go for a walk, I had Sketchers flips flops that are like yoga mats instead of wearing tennis shoes.

Up until a couple of years ago I hated wearing socks (it's the Florida girl in me, I suppose). But now, in the winter, my feet get so cold & I have to wear them all around the house & when I go to bed. I actually really like wearing them now.

I rarely wear socks unless I have to wear shoes. Maybe 10 days in winter I have to have them on in the house, but never in the other season unless we're hiking.

Yes! I have a "light" case of Raynaud's Disease and very low blood pressure, so my hands and feet are always freezing. I wear wool-lined boots and shoes all winter long, and socks in bed are a must to warm my feet. I don't generate enough heat to get warm fast, so if my DH isn't in bed with me I'm always cold. But sometime during the night the socks come off when I get warm enough.

I wear socks to bed for sure.

I like to wear socks all the time... but I also like to wear flipflops in the summer & I'm really lazy so it's a 50/50 shot when it's warm outside. :giggle

NOOOOO....tell me it isn't so, that there are so many people who wear socks to bed!!! :overreact

Hahaha...no just kidding...but in all seriousness...I cannot wear socks to bed. Every once in a while my kids do that and I beg for them to take them off! :assslap

@AnneofAlamo - on the Today Show this morning (or maybe yesterday...I don't remember), they were giving tips to get a better nights sleep...and sleeping in your birfday suit was top on the list! A big part of good sleep is temperature, both room and body temperature, and they suggest a cooler temp than what many of us would think, to sleep best (I think like 60-67 degrees)!

I sometimes wear socks to bed. I have special super soft and fluffy socks that are ONLY for bed use. But I have flannel sheets and pjs in winter so I'm usually warm enough.

I however cannot understand how people walk around barefoot or with thin socks on during the day?? In the warmer seasons okay maybe, but during the cold seasons I always wear warm house shoes/fuzzy slippers/I don't know how they are called. I'm about to order these felt/wool ones and I'm so excited!

I am barefoot 90% of the time in the house all year round. I used to wear socks in the house, but then I slipped on our hardwood stairs and bruised my tailbone one time about 9 years ago. That was it!

I cannot sleep with socks on unless I'm absolutely freezing (like the one time our furnace died in the middle of winter). I love to be bundled up when I sleep and my bare feet are my temperature regulators. If I get too warm, instead of unbundling... I just stick a bare foot (or two) out from under the covers to cool down. :giggle

I wear them to bed sometimes, like when the sheets feel really cold and my hubby is not in bed to warm my feet up. But I usually pull them off at the first hot flash. I haven't been wearing them recently because...

I got velour sheets for Christmas, which are like sleeping on a fuzzy, soft blanket. I thought it would be weird, but they are nice and they don't get cold when the rest of the house gets cold at night. And yea, they stay tight on the bed, which I was also concerned about. But if the temps are above 64, then can't do it -- too hot.

I thought it was just me! I HAVE to wear socks to bed- otherwise my feet will get freezing cold and I won't be able to sleep. I also usually have a couple of hot water bottles in bed with me, too!

I'm the girl who's always cold, though. When I worked in an office, I was constantly wearing a jacket AND sitting right next to a space heater. What's hilarious is that I now have a dog who is always cold, too. He sleeps on his own electric blanket at night!

I don't wear socks to bed, but almost always have socks on around the house ... if not socks, in the summer, then I have flip flops I wear inside ... very rarely do I completely barefooted.

I can't stand socks!!!! The only time I have them is if I am wearing my slippers or athletic shoes!!! They drive me bonkers!!!

I hate wearing socks my feet get too hot and would rather go barefoot everywhere. I get really uncomfortable wearing socks or pyjamas to bed, always sleep in my birthday suit lol.

I love summer when can let me toes be free in flip flops, and only wear socks through the winter because have my boots on most of the time. Lately I am wearing fluffy socks while sat in the office. We are working out of a portacabin and here in the UK the temperatures aren't the greatest, so my feet are freezing. So can normally find me sat at my desk with my uniform on (which normally consists of a polo shirt and leggings) and my bright pink fluffy socks :)
