As much as I try to be positive and look on the bright side of things, I am really down today. As many of you know, my dad has been fighting cancer for the last 6 months. He just finished his final treatment and I have been so looking forward to giving him a big hug. *sniff* We're supposed to fly out tomorrow. Unfortunately, my youngest has been super sick for the last 2 weeks. She's running a fever again this morning, so there's so way I can put her on a plane in the morning. I know it's the right thing to do for her, but I am so disappointed. *sigh* OK, Eeyore moment is over - back to our regularly scheduled programming...
 
Oh Laura, that is really heartbreaking. Is there any way you could fly out on your own for a few days? Hugs!

I am so so very sorry, friend. Wish I could hug your neck. ((hug)) ((hug)) ((hug)) I know you were really looking forward to this trip. I do hope you'll be able to reschedule soon. And I hope that she's feeling well completely soon. :beat

Oh, laura, I am SO sorry. I know just how much it means to be able to physically hug that loved one and how disappointing it is when it doesn't happen like you want it to. I hope that your little one is feeling better soon and that you will be able to go and give him that hug!

and YAY for final treatment!! does he have scans or anything scheduled?

He had his last 2 doctor's appointments on Friday. He had a great report, so he doesn't have another scan for 3 months.
 
Oh, that's perfectly understandable. I'd be crushed for a bit myself. I hope she feels better soon and you can get that hug!
