Yes, i have one...:heartslub I can't get enough of them!

For those who don't know i have a hobby of photographying snowflakes. They just make me happy happy!

These are from our recent snow this week and the blizzard we're having right now :D These are TINY TINY TINY - smaller than my normal snowflakes i usually capture...so my clarity isn't the best best but i still love em!

This makes me feel bad for how much I complain about it when I run. Wish I could see this beauty then.

These are amazing. What strength of macro/zoom are you using? A microscope? :)

You are amazing, Val! I tried to photograph snowflakes a few weeks ago because I remembered how pretty yours were! My photos aren't near as nice as yours! So pretty! :)

these are great! I also love snowflakes, but we never seem to get the kind that photographs well. We usually get just microscopic ice balls.
boo...but yours are really fantastic, so I'll live vicariously through your lens =)

stunning!! I can only imagine the joy of getting that shot that so show the majesticness of such a small creation!

thanks girls! I have so much fun capturing them! this last snow really brought out some fun new shapes for me! I usually have more fernlike stellar dendrite so these were an extra treat! When I'm photographing and "scouting" for new flakes, i feel like i'm in another surreal world- so. cool.

I use my Nikon D7000 and 60mm 2.8 macro lens. Manual mode and focus is key.

I also just grabbed my DH's black sweatshirt to use as a back drop lol....

I'm prodding my DH to make me an attachment system for my camera to my microscope but....hasn't happened yet and it's pretty pricey...so. i wait.
