Day 9: Dear Future Self | Journaling Challenge | 150 words minimum
I struggled with this challenge. I completely worked backwards on this. I fell in love with @iciclelady layout (Thank you!!) for this challenge and completely scrap lifted it. And then was able to finally add writing. Not much of a writer. However, I ended up with 276 words.

Day 17: Username
Username in 3 places | 227 word count

I have been known as Smileark for over 20 years now. My brother actually came up with the name. We were trying to come up with an email account but I didn’t want my actual name used. A dual major in Criminal Justice and Child Development made it clear that a person really didn’t want that much personal information easily accessed. So he combined my nickname from school, Smiles and my LOVE of Noah’s Ark into SmileArk!

In my childhood, everyone called me Smiles or commented that I always signed my name with a smiley face and a heart. If I wrote a letter it was always signed “Love & Smiles,” with a heart after my name.

In my senior of high school, I was asked to teach Vacation Bible School for the preschool children. The theme was Noah’s Ark. At the end of the week, I was given my first Noah’s Ark collectible. My collection grew slowly at first and then it rapidly grew after my first year of teaching. I had placed a Noah’s Ark on my desk and the students commented on it and of course, I replied I collected Noah’s Ark. Well, that Christmas every student gave me a Noah’s Ark. I’m so glad I thought to ask the students to sign the bottom so I know exactly who gave me which one.
