I'm more of a morning person. Every once in a while I'll sleep in but my body just can't stay in bed past 8 (that's sleeping in for me).
My experience has been that morning people are much less "forgiving" of night owls, than night owls are of morning people. My XDH and I went round and round about me liking to stay up late (every night) and sleep in on the weekends b/c he was a morning person and I'm not. I've found my best sleep occurs between 4-5AM to 8-9AM. That said, I do have to be to work at 8AM, so I am up and about Monday - Friday fairly early.
I used to be such an early riser and part of me REALLY misses it. but I am on a new medication recently that is helping what it is supposed to tremendously but is causing sleep issues as a side effect. This is making me sleep in far more than I used to just to feel remotely rested when I do get up. it is definitely worth it, just an annoying adjustment.
I sleep in any chance I get. I have fibromyalgia and don't sleep well in general, so I take any extra I can get.
