Looking for mattresses has made me realize that the type of mattress you need depends on what position you sleep in. Are you a:
Back Sleeper?
Side Sleeper?
Stomach Sleeper?
All over the place Sleeper?

I am a stomach sleeper. Hubby sleeps on his side and back.

side and stomach. When I was preganant, I was thankful I didn't gain much weight and wasn't so big so i could side sleep and stomach sleep in the early months!

I am a flopper. I flop all over like a fish.. *L*.. I normally end up on my stomach or side though

Flopper from side to side. Once in awhile I'll end up on my back. Never on the stomach.

I'm a side sleeper and I evidently sleep really still. The bed hardly looks touched when I get out of it lol. Hubby is all over the place and tears up all the covers.

I'm all over the place. I always start on my side, but then I sometimes flip to my back or my stomach or my other side. I often wonder how many calories I burn in the middle of the night flipping all over the place. Ha ha!

Side sleeper, usually on my right as I have vertigo if I go to the left.

Side sleeper when I go to bed. But every time I wake up I'm on my stomach. Which isn't really good for my neck!

I sleep all over. I don't sleep well and toss and turn over most nights all night long.

Side or Stomach. Sometimes with my back it hurts to sleep on my tummy.

A fried and I went away for a retreat and were staying together. She sleeps on her back, with her arms in front folded. It looks like she is in a coffin. And she doesn't move. I woke in the middle of the night, she didn't move or do anything. It was unnerving, haha! We had a giggle the next morning when I asked if she moved and said she looks like she could sleep in a coffin, lol! Good thing we are good friends, haha!

I can relate to your friend. Most nights I sleep on my back, especially in winter, with a blanket covering me all around, head included (not face though). I call it "the mummy position".
(DH and I have separate blankets. Best decision ever, because we feel cold differently. I need a sheet even in August)

I have a bad back so the best position for me is to sleep on my back with a pillow under my knees. I don't move around much.

I mostly sleep on my stomach and/or side, but I am TRYING to be a back sleeper. I hear it's much better for your posture and whatever, but no matter how long I lay there and how comfortable I am, I always end up flipping to my side or stomach in order to fall asleep. I think I feel too vulnerable and exposed on my back with my eyes closed. ??

My stepmom used to sleep like that! I remember the first time I ever saw her asleep in bed when I was very young. It creeped me right out! I was SO sure she was dead!! LOL
