sleep on couch?|pad patter 4.4.18

The couch in our family room is a recliner couch, so like @KatrinaHunt13 said, it's not great to sleep on because there is a bar thingie in the middle for the recliner that kinda pokes through and hits right in the middle if you're laying down. Now our sectional couch in the basement is SUPER comfy! My Dad always wanders down there for a nap when he comes to visit. Lol. I sat down there the other day to read and promptly fell asleep myself. Neither my hubby or I usually need to leave for another place to sleep, but if we did, that would probably be where I'd go!

Anne... I totally laughed out loud at you scaring your hubby in the morning. :giggle Poor guy! @AnneofAlamo

Our couch is comfy, but I won't go down unless I have a migraine and need an icepack. We try to stay in bed together even if snoring is happening. We had a time frame when we were not getting along well, and he would go to the couch when he was upset at me. It brings back horrible memories when one of us heads to the couch, so we make sure it's pretty serious if we do go down to it.

I'm totally in love with my couch, I found it used, paid $265 for it and it looked like it was never sat on, the seat is down filled, and it is totally the style I was looking for..... but it isn't long enough to lay out on, your knees need to be bent. my hot flashes stopped a couple years ago...... but since I went through the change I do not sleep like I used to. I wake up a number of times during the night, but usually I can fall back to sleep after I get up to visit the bathroom........

My bed is more comfortable but I have been tempted to fall asleep on the couch when I stay up late working. Late at night I'll take my laptop to the couch and then I never want to get up and put my laptop away. I've been tempted to push it aside and just lay my head down and fall asleep. But I've never done that since I know I would regret it in the morning.

I hate sleeping on couches. I don't care how comfy it may be. My daughter on the other hand - loves our big sectional more than her own bed. The challenge is getting her to actually sleep in her room. Drives me nuts - espcially on the weekend when i just want to wake up to peace and quite and an empty first floor before everyone else is up. Just the fact that she's there bothers me! She can sleep through a five alarm fire siren so it's not that I have to be quite its just the fact that's there that drives me nuts.

I can sleep on my couch, but it's not something I do on purpose. :) It rocks and both sides can recline and I find it to be pretty comfortable to sleep on (once it's settled), but I prefer my bed.

I find that putting a leg outside the blankets is usually enough to cool me down

I do that too as I have a down duvet and in the 'season' between winter (no bedroom heat) and summer (a/c) I might get too warm. No hot flashes round here tyvm!

But while we have a sleeper sofa in our small living room, and it has no bar in the center, when I couldn't easily sleep after knee surgery and the %#@%& support stocking, I'd sleep in a recliner or the single bed I have in my studio. My dil slept in the recliner a night or two on their recent visit when she stayed up watching horror shows!
