Show me your other hobby.

I used to make heaps of stuff, knitting, sewing, quilting, but then scrapbooking took over - now just little projects that are fun and completely useless-

oh wow ladies! Thanks for sharing with me. Karen, I crochet too, but I am not sure I am any good at it. I taught myself and I am not sure I am doing it the "right" way. LOL!!!!

I love baking so much. I used to think that it's hard, but not anymore :D

Oh yum that looks seriously delish!!!! :) I am not a baker but love to cook!

I cross stitch (have since elementary school) but I haven't picked up a project in a while...I have probably about 5 on the go that I desperately need to work on. I also knit...but I'm only good at scarves and dishclothes..lol. I've tried crochet but I just can't get the hang of it and i want to learn to quilt.

Our big hobby as a family is gaming...we have ton of board games that we love to break out and play and we also hold and attend regular board game events with family and friends.

Wow! Love all your pics, Ladies!! Sarah, my family and I love board games, too! My sister just got one called, "Have Fun Storming the Castle!" Based on The Princess Bride, which is one of our favorite movies. I can't wait to play!

Ok, I have a lot of hobbies but I don't do them all at the same time. Some times I will focus on one for years or just pick up something every year or so when I am in the mood! Digiscrapping is a full-on obsession, though -- just like paper scrapping was and rubber stamping before that. It was kind of a progression for me. Same with my painting. I started doodling at work when I was bored but actually making geometric patterns that had large spaces. So I started coloring them in with the colored ball point pens we had at the (very, very slow) photo lab where I worked. Then I was like, hey -- this is fun -- So I started doing it at home, with colored gel pens and actual sketch books. ALL the time. My stuff looks kinda stained glassy or mosaic-y. And that led to paintings. But I still doodle when I am watching TV or in a waiting room. It's fun.

Here is my robot painting that I just finished a couple of days ago. They aren't fine art or anything but I enjoy making them. This is my first actual representational thing I've done, they are usually just abstracts. If you guys think it's terrible then I will tell you my 7 year old nephew did it. One problem. He's a pug.
I also art journal - mostly centered around kinda collage-based LO's or collage-y memory keeping layouts. I haven't really done the painty type ones. And I make beaded necklaces and earrings sometimes. I knitted 2/3 of an afghan and some scarves, But that's about it as far as knitting goes. My sister and I usually make some kind of craft to give to the women in our family at Christmas -- but I won't list them, I am pretty sure I have already exceeded my 140 character limit. ;)
So I guess you can add me to the list of dabblers! And readers! :D

EDIT: I have no idea why it says "attachment" I used the little tree but I am on a win7 computer (my sisters) and mine that died a week-ish ago was an XP, so I have absolutely no idea why it won't work. :( And in other news trying to type on her laptop is driving me crazy I keep hitting Caps Lock by accident! LOL I'm just glad she let me plug my EHD into it. My sister (and Brother in law) rocks!

My post from yesterday got eaten by the forum! Aside from digiscrapping, I collect stuff like postcards and nerdy pop culture stuff (like toys, Funko Pop figures, lunch boxes). I also love to take photos. And I like to make crafty things. I really like to make cheap kids crafts, like stuff you can get at Target for $2. I like to make that stuff while I'm watching tv. When I feel a bit more creative and have time, I make stuff like frames or Christmas ornaments.

Here's a fox I made for my sister last weekend.

I have a few other hobbies, but I'm not sure I ever actually FINISH any projects. LOL

I kissed the frog! I bought a house so decorating is starting to become a hobby out of necessity, but I have also started sewing in recent months. I made this dress to wear to my friend's wedding! I also just bought some fabric for a quilt. I blame pinterest! lol
