For Christmas, I made a book for my parents of their dog that passed away recently. I printed the pages at 12x12 (because their eyes are getting old) and complied it in a physical scrapbook album. It turned out really well, and I ended up ordering my brother a copy of it from Shutterfly (He's in Canada, shipping an album would have cost too much!). Today my sister asked me for a copy!

I've made little books for my younger siblings (Pre my own kid) with the photos I've taken. And they still have them and look through them.

How about you? Do you share your scrappy creations with family or friends? Do you make projects specifically for others?

I started making team basketball albums for my oldest daughter when she was on 8th grade (8 years ago). I offered it out to the families on her team and anyone that wanted one could buy one. Figured I was making it anyway so... Since then I have made team albums for all three girls and their traveling teams and high school teams. I have some friends with boys who have asked me to make them for their boys as well so I made team football books for three years and boys basketball books for three years. Fun projects!! LOTS of work making sure I had pictures of every kid, etc. The girls' basketball books are SO fun because I have the girls send me pics from their phones - pasta feeds, bus rides, team bonding.

That is so fun! I love it!

I used to do it, not as much now ... & even in my paper scrapping days - an album for the grandparents was always a hit as a gift. I would do extended family vacation albums too - usually gift my parents one and then let the siblings order one if they wanted.

And I used to do the soccer yearbooks when my girl was younger - we would all chip in give coaches a free book and then the other parents could order their own. I loved doing those but it was a huge commitment bc i was the team photographer for the most part too. It was a lot to manage when you are trying to make sure everyone is represented fairly.

I really need to get back into gifting albums. :)

The past three summers the kids and I have taken a trip with my parents, I make a book with the photos from the trips for them each year at Christmas. I also make photo calendars for my parents, my in-laws and my grandmother each year.

I have all kinds of other projects cooked up in my head, but I never get around to getting them done (or even started) :giggle

I make annual photo books for our extended family -- the grandparents and aunts/uncles. Not so scrappy -- mostly just photos and some journaling about the photos. If it were more scrappy, I'd never get them done! I've been told by a couple people that it's their favorite gift every year. I kind of dread putting it together every year but it beats having to come up with a different gift every year!

I used to do more for my dad but things changed. I've done several as gifts. It's been a while until the other night I realized I could make my son in Seattle one of his time here. He has a girlfriend (shh it's a secret, silly boy) and I know she'd like to see it and I think he would like having it as well. Thankfully I'll just use some already made layouts.

My London scrapbook was a big hit with my daughter's students. I asked them to take pictures and send them to me to add to the book, but none of them did. When Becky took her copy to school, she was immediately asked for the link to Shutterfly so that they could buy it. So far, 5 of the girls have bought one.

Last year, I was asked to make a Mother's Day book for my son-in-law's grandmother. That went well, too, and 5 of his relatives ordered a copy. I also made a wedding book for another relative of his. My time was their wedding gift.

For my latest project, I'm making 3 books for my BFF's triplet grandchildren that will be born in a few months. An alphabet book, a number book, and a book with pictures of all the relatives.

I make calendars for each member of my immediate family.

I could probably make a small fortune on these books, but so far I've just donated my time.

The only ones I've done are two for my eldest granddaughter. I made a book for her (and one for my dh) of their Alaska fishing trip. Then when Josie went to London and Paris last spring, I made a book of that trip for her. The younger sister Hannah is going to Alaska this summer for her fishing trip so I guess there will be another album. All of these have been Mixbook or Blurb paperback...I forget which.

There is a wedding coming up and maybe I'll do one of that for the couple. We'll see how it goes as there have been a lot of hiccups with this wedding - all outside of their hands. Fortunately, the love is still strong!

I've made books for family members but mostly they would rather just have photos (in any form) than scrap layouts. My parents think scrapping is a waste of time and spoil the photos. I make calendars each year for family around the world with photos and a few journal strips for labels. My kids though love that scrapping books I've had printed. They will read them over and over, they love the journaling as much as the photos. I have 2 copies of most of the books I made them simply so I can keep one set safe while the other set is well worn. This is a set I made for the eldest, years ago, and he still reads them (12yo now).

Wow! A waste of time???? That's terrible!

I've done a few things here and there for people, but not so much lately. I really need to do an album for my mom.

I have made digiscrap albums for others a few times. When my Grandma died several years ago I made a little memory book for my mom and 4 uncles. I've made a few other random books for my mom too just because I had Shutterfly freebie coupons or something like that. :)

I made several gift albums back in my paper scrapping days - this is how I justified buying lots of supplies! Now that I've gone digi for most of my scrapping, I've made several of the quick Shutterfly books and calendars the past two years. 2016 was the first year I made a digi calendar for my MIL after making paper calendars for her since 2009. Fortunately she does not think that the scrapping ruins the photos! I'm hoping to make more books for the grandkids - they love looking at what I've done including the calendars which we keep in several albums once the year is done. Like many others, I have more ideas than time to accomplish them, but I keep plugging away at my photo hoard!!

I made an album for my mom years ago and I was so happy to have done it for her b/c she loved it. I haven't made any for other family members though.

I make a family album for us each year. The last 5 years or so, I have made a calendar for my mother-in-love and then 1 to 5 calendars for her to give to her siblings, daughter, etc. (I stalk Facebook to get their pictures.) I have made albums for both of my Eagle Scout sons. I also wrote up the story of our daughter's adoption as a digital album.

My favorite of them all is still the very first digital album I made. It was a combo favorite recipes, old photos from our childhood, and childhood memories/stories. I asked each of my siblings to write down their favorite memories without telling them why I wanted them. I also included two papers that my now deceased brother wrote in high school. One was on what his family meant to him and the other was on how to cook a meal. I gave a copy to my parents, each of siblings, and myself. Quite a few tears shed that day.

I am so excited. Shutterfly has this program Yearbooks? Well, I am doing a 20 page 8.5 x11 soft cover books for the families in our church!! I will finish them November and have them printed for Christmas presents. My hubby and I thought of it last Christmas! I am the church photographer, so no one knows...I am sneaky and it will be a surprise!
