If you have multiple different packs from different designers, how do you choose which styles to use?

I primarily use Cheryl's styles


For stickers I use


But I have another 8 or 9 sets I never use.....is there a better way of organizing the styles so I see what I have that is similar or is there some other trick I don't know about?
 
I have my own set that I use. And I still tweak those often.
But I'd think you'd pick the one or two you like best that can cover the things you want to shadow.
 
I have used so may over the years I have kinda lost count... and I have edited them so drastically that now they are kinda no body's ... *L*..but a mix of a bunch of different ones.. so I guess my own special mixture.
 
I love shadows and I can't make up my mind on only one pack. I use a lot of Cheryl's shadows, mainly I would say, but I also like Sahin's shadows, for example the string/wire one which I prefer usually over others.
I have Mommyish's too.

So many! Too many probalby lol Maybe I should just pick the ones I prefer and actually use the most and put them in the same tab in my PS and delete the rest but I don't feel comfortable deleting any cause you never know... typical phrase a hoarder would say :lmao

When I'm not totally satisfied with a shadow for paper, if I use a stitch on top of it for example I tend to try to make it lower cause if it's stitched, it feels like it would be much closer to the page, then I tweak a style and save it for myself in PS. I have never done real paper scrapbooking but it just felt natural to do that.

One thing I have to admit I don't like is shadow under paint... I really can't put any shadow under a paint spatter or ink and such. It feels weird. Same goes for text if it's supposed to be written on paper (not as a sticker style for example).

Hoarders unite....I'm the same. I'm like if I've bought it I must keep it and use it especially now that hard drive space isn't an issue for me anymore.
