September | Pad Patter 9.1

We've started the month being out of town for a long weekend. My eldest surviving aunt had a party today celebrating her 100th birthday. It was wonderful seeing her and other family members for the second time this summer. We're taking two days to drive home to Wisconsin and will sightsee along the way. When we get home, I've got lots of activities starting up again now that it's September. It will be a busy month!
Whoa! Happy 100th to your aunt!! That's amazing! I hope you enjoy your drive and all your September activities!!

@IntenseMagic Love that EWF song and it reminds me to put on some good old oldies and dance around my office!

September 2 is my birthday so the only celebration this year is a friend making dinner for me (us) and a total of 8 at his house. I think I'm getting crab cakes/steak (RARE) and something chocolate. He's a chef so I know it will all be good. Then Thursday my chef son is visiting from Boston for a couple days and then...the big one for me is get back to morning walks. I'll probably start back to volunteering at the elementary school I did last year but not until mid September. Getting into the grove of that half mile walk to the school will be the groundwork for me.

btw, I love the later sunrises cause I can sleep longer!
I do that often with the music :) EWF and ELO are two of my faves and sure to get eye rolls from the teenager haha.
Happy Birthday!!!! The dinner sounds divine!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Ah September! We had some cool nights recently so I know Fall is coming!

I am looking forward to Scrap Camp weekend in a couple of weeks. Hoping to get lots done. When I get back from that I start working Early Voting until the Primary in early October. Then I get a week off before I start working Early Voting for the Election in early November. I am also working the Primary and Election regular voting days. So not sure how much scrapping I will get done, but the $$ will be nice.

In other news, our State fair is coming in October and I have to get my layouts ready to enter. I also need to make 4 ATC because I entered that category and I have no idea what I am doing for it yet.

We just did Doug's class reunion, his two best friends came from Portland and San Diego. We are two weeks into school starting here and Eli has decided in 8th grade to play football for the first time EVER. He is actually getting pay time on the return teem and is back up Safety. I love the fall but September is always gloomy for me as I feel the end of pool season in sight and have to hibernate my beloved baby until next summer :( I am an excited guest Polly this month so it softens that bow a lot! Cheers to the lovely colors of fall that will soon be upon us!

Just getting back into the swing of a full schedule with school and extracurriculars. My oldest and I have a few college visits planned over the next 6 weeks. Eeek! Is this really happening?

This September we have two girls in soccer so that's keeping us busy and hot!

This is when things get busy now that school's back in session! Both kids are in fall soccer + Camp Fire (like co-ed low-key Scouts), and my DD will start Spell Bowl practices sometime this month. My sister's BF's bday and my grandfather's bday are this month, and I'm starting my official duties as social media lead for my local Moms Demand Action chapter.

LOL I'm less about that (annoying!!! - but i can accept others liking it lol) September song and a bit more like Green Day 'wake me up when September ends'. Sept ends up bringing lots of assignments and deadlines for both kids that involve extra work at home - science fair (so glad it's not a plant growing one this year), before or after school extra testing that admittedly we did sign up for but just extra and outside the norm trips into and out of town for school as well as extracurricular, more baking fundraisers and concerts and stuff before holidays at the start of Oct but this week has been the tail of winter cold's and DS has been home for 2 days, DD refuses to let a cold make her miss anything but i can see her staying in bed most of this weekend - i'm looking forward to some summer hurrahs and the end of colds season in the coming months!
