Have you looked at your work-in-progress like this?

You're not alone - it can happen to all of us!

I documented some of my struggles in finding the right background in today's blog post. Here's just some of the 25 papers I tried as a background.

To see what I went with and the rest of this Mash-up page, head over to the blog and I hope if you're page doesn't come together easily today or any day, you understanb we all have those days and empathise!

This happens to me All. The. Time! Glad I’m not the only one.

I regularly find I look at a page and think "not right, not balanced" and most of the time changing the background fixes it. So glad I'm a digital scrapbooker and hadn't physically stuck everything to a background that wasn't the right fit. Switching it out is so easy digital.

I've always seen this as a part of my creative process. I start with one paper, make the layout, and even if I think everything looks good, I try all the other papers in the kit. Just to make sure I pick the right one. At a couple of times, I've even kept two versions, cuz I liked both papers just as much.

Awesome job sharing the layout process coming together for you! And I feel you on the journal card mashup! That is me quite often. I do try to just walk away for an hour and come back. Usually I find that clears my head to pick a background paper and go with it.

If I'm going to struggle with any part of a layout, it is 99% of the time on the background. Often I can't even put my finger on what I want, I just know when I don't have it yet. :giggle OR, there are too many good papers in a kit and I really want to use a fun bold patterned paper, but I can't really pull it off. Lol. Great post!

File under: relatable. When scrapping. When designing. I always struggle to choose the Very Best One.

Ya know, I get to a point where I stop creating and add the paper(s). Otherwise, the piece does not come together properly. Most of the time, I start with the paper though :yup
