do you have any? like things you will not use or certain ways you must do something. colors you won't use. for a long time, i wouldn't use buttons unless they were threaded. i'd even go so far as to thread them myself. i must have journaling on a page - even if it's only a sentence. i have a hard time tilting things too. how about you?

Polka dot papers. I've tried. I just can't use them.

Lately ... i have a hard time NOT putting a border around my photos. i can/have made lots of pages with photos with no borders, it's just hard & my fingers are itching to get some white around it. in fact most pages start with a white border around my photos and sometimes i relunctantly let it go. if there is no white border, i tend to put a frame over it or make sure there are some paper layers underneath acting as a mat.

i even prefer a white border around all my photos when i print them (unless they are going in a real life frame).

Oh, I don't like things tilted either. I think that's why I've loved the pocket scrapping so much.

I also have an issue with circular shaped photos. Can't do it, LOL. I'm OK w/ polka dots but can't clip a photo to a circle. -->Weirdo<--

I used to FEAR string. Couldn't figure out what to do with it. Now I love it. Funny.

I like odd numbers of things unless I'm doing something symmetrical. I have to have journaling too, as well as a date.

Oh, I thought of another one. I have a problem using "bulky" frames. I think I'm more of a "matter" than a "framer", although I like paper/flat frames pretty well.

Used to require foliage if I had flowers (which I always did). I'm over that now.

I have a hard time leaving everything perfectly straight - never would have happened when I paper scrapped, still doesn't happen when I make hybrid pages/projects, so I have to wonky my pics just an itty bit for my page to feel right.

Ned a date on my page, and I have a very hard time using elements that aren't something that I would actually smash into my album (like realistic looking pinecones or Christmas ornaments)

curly ribbons or ribbons with bows. Not that I don't like them, I do, but I can't ever seem to make them look right on my pages.

Oh, and patterned paper as a background. I love other people's pages that use bold background papers, but I can't seem to pull it off. I have tried - I've even finished an entire page with a patterned background and then switched to white card stock or kraft paper at the last minute.

I don't like foliage. I would rarely have used it on paper-- and certainly never REAL leaves-- so I don't like it on my digi pages.

this will probably come as no surprise to anyone, but i am really particular about shadows. when using a template, i will reshadow all the layers to my own presets.

Oh those bulky frames taunt me. I still must use leaves with flowers, though I would be happy if you'd tell me how to put that quirk aside.

I used to swear I'd never use digital staples. Never say never.

Hhhmmm, good question, never had thought about this.

My biggest struggle might be scrapping a page with no picture in it. I have done some (I think I can count it on my fingers).
When It's for a book cover, I seem to have it easier. But when it comes down to scrapping a quote or simply a stroy without photos, I'm really struggling.

My buttons have to be threaded.

I'm also weird about layering, I don't mind suspending realism in layouts but if it's supposed to look like paper, then no balancing stuff on top of big things or floating elements, or journaling on objects that would never work in real life. I rationalize stuff like pinecones because technically I could hot glue that crap onto a page and stick it in a stand :giggle

I also like to ad little imperfections that are probably a total waste of time.

I prefer my buttons threaded- but have made attempts to let that go...
Pattern paper as a background- I admire those who can pull it off- mine just always looks like a hot mess!

threaded buttons, and fonts do not have shadows.....they must be on the paper...this is a big one for me!

Unthreaded buttons have never bothered me because I would never stitch them to a paper LO. I'd just glue them.

I don't care if the buttons are threaded, but they MUST be on the page. lol

I have a hard time with using patterned papers as my background. I almost always will choose a kraft or light colored solid. I don't care if buttons are threaded, as I'd glue them, but I am particular about how things are layered. I know I'd never layer a bulky item like a flower or button underneath something else. I agree that fonts do not have shadows. That one does bug me. I have to add some sort of realism to my fonts/text with a distressing style or doing it myself the "old fashioned way". I always play with my shadows. I can't remember the last time I left the shadows alone on a template, or just left the basic shadow from a style.

Since I mostly do PL now some of the things I can't do are these:
I can't place an item that couldn't possibly fit on a real pocket. Like big bulky flowers or frames. I also have to have everything be within pockets. I can't for example have an element on top of the pockets.
On regular pages I also can't use a really busy patterned paper as a background most of the times, I admire those who can cause I really love the look but just can't do it. Lightly patterned is okay though. I also can almost never make a page without photos, journaling or the date on it. My photos also need to be framed, it a kit doesn't have a simple frame the I use a white stroke so it can have a white border around it. I also have to play with the shadows, regardless if it's regular or PL pages.
