What is your favorite salad dressing? What to do hate/dislike? I am pretty easy when it comes to salad dressings. I will pretty much have anything. If I had to choose my least favorite it would be thousand island.

Favorite: Italian
Like: vinaigrette, ranch, blue cheese
Dislike: fishy Caesar

Favorite = balsamic vinaigrette - I make a pretty good one with the typical ingredients and just a touch of minced shallots and fresh parsley. Also, raspberry balsamic in summer.

Like: any other vinaigrette, Caeser, French.

Will not get near: super-creamy or too-thick dressings (not necessarily a specific flavor, just a texture thing), bleu cheese, thousand island.

I make my own:

extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar, balsamic vinaigrette, lemon pepper, garlic powder, and kosher coarse sea salt.

I have come to fully appreciate ranch. Wish we could get it this side of the pond - like it is freely available in the USA.

I'm sure I'm the odd one out here. I don't like dressing on my salad at all. I like the taste of fresh veggies and never understood why I should ruin it with dressing. LOL

If I would have to pick one, it would be a simple vinaigrette with mustard and/or honey. No mayo!

I think my favorite is French dressing with raspberry vinaigrette a close second. I also like ranch, but I don't obsess about it like a lot of people. Lol. I'll eat Italian also. I don't really love bleu cheese dressing.

I'm with you on this one! Definitely not anything creamy or mayo.

I make my own. I dislike the additional preservatives in store bought ones. I know groceries differ, but it's pretty simple herbs and dairy. The tang is from the buttermilk and sour cream, along with the 'thick'. You can also substitute yogurt for sour cream. https://app.plantoeat.com/recipes/25786751/

I dislike vinaigrettes on salad. Too many that had too much vinegar in them! I also dislike Italian. The texture weirds me out - it reminds me of snot.

Love French and Thousand Island and Ginger dressing (like the Japanese restaurants serve). I like ranch, but I'm very picky about it. I make my own because I hate when you can't taste the herbs or it's too chemically. I like Caesar, but like Monica - as long as it's not super fishy Caesar! I like homemade dressings best of all! They always have a lot of flavor when done right.

My favorite is Hidden Valley Ranch, made from the seasoning pack and not bottled. The bottled versions are thick and have a weird spoiled taste to them. I don't know how to describe it. I just add mayo and milk/buttermilk, depending on which seasoning mix I bought.

I also love Panera's Poppyseed dressing on a salad with lots of fruit in it. I like Italian but my favorite for that is Olive Garden's dressing.

French was a favorite for many years. I would also use Kraft's Classic Catalina at times. And, over the years I have also used Ranch for something different.

Not a fan of 1000 Island, bleu cheese or Italian at all.

I mostly have ranch or homemade vinaigrette at home but when eating out I will eat anything except french, thousand island or bleu cheese. Italian dressing is ok but I find it kind of bland.

Fav: #1 Ken's Lite Sweet Vidalia Onion; #2 Kraft Catalina Dressing

Dislike: Bleu Cheese

Like: French, Thousand Island,Balsamic Vinaigrette, Italian, Marie's Ranch (for dipping veggies)

My mom's Egg/Tomato/Lettuce salad is tossed with Miracle Whip.

My favorites are Raspberry Vinaigrette and Blue Cheese....
but I also love ranch... :) and honey mustard!

worst is probably french...

I actually am not a big fan of dressings. My favourites that I eat regularly are Zesty Italian and 1000 Island. Usually I get dressing on the side and just dip my fork in it at restaurants because, no matter the dressing, I can't stand an overdressed salad!

Apart from mayonnaise (has to be Best Foods) and homemade vinaigrette or yogurt based dressings I don’t buy or use them.

Hmmmm. I love Ranch, Blue Cheese, Vinagrettes, Balsamics, and many more, :giggle

I'm not a fan of French or Thousand Island.

For light stuff, this is yummy... fast, easy and seasoning is good.

I love vinaigrette, ranch, and Italian.

I don't like French, Thousand Island, or blue cheese dressing.

I often make my own (a vinaigrette with olive oil and lemon juice), but also keep a couple of store-bought bottles in the fridge at all times...
