Sad news for me .........

I just found out this morning that a close friend from childhood days passed away last Friday! Not sure of the full story as to how she died, but it seems she became ill with an infection after coming home from a cruise with her husband a couple of weeks ago and then she went downhill very quickly. Her husband was too distraught to explain any further.

Friends for 60 years, Judy & I grew up together, lived next door to each other and were each other’s bridesmaids when we got married in the 70s. My sister ended up marrying Judy's husband's brother so we were still able to stay in touch through my sister. I met up with Judy again in June 2004 and we had a great time remembering our childhoods and our teenage years in the 1960’s.

Ironically I created a layout a couple of weeks ago with a photo of Judy and I at her wedding!


I am just feeling so very sad at the moment, Judy was and always will be such a vital link to my childhood, whenever I thought of Judy I would remember all of the fun times we had and all the times we got into trouble together, the secrets we kept and the dreams we shared of what we would be like when we were grown up! LOL! Judy was my very 'first' best friend and she will always remain in my memories and in my heart. Rest in peace sweet friend.:beat

Thanks everyone :heartlub, today has just been a fog, haven't done anything but drink cups of tea and stare off into space! :(
